Last night ABC showed Lady and the Tramp, one of my most favorite Disney Cartoons. During the 8:30ish break, I patiently waited through the first 5 commercials. Then 6, then 7 and so on. The final count was 14 commercials in a row. Later in the show my husband said he counted 18 in a row! By then I was leaving the room.

Now while I realize that networks have to raise money, I have never, ever seen anything so extreme. Not during the Super Bowl and not during American Idol.

I guess I should be happy that at least there weren't any for Beer or male enhancement medication. But... GOOD GRIEF!

I am working on combining a beer that actually...nevermind

That was the snack break! You were supposed to make BLT's for everyone and the movie wouldn't start until you were finished ;) Seriously that is a ridiculous number of commercials to air in one break.

What can you expect? You've got to have commercials, as they sponsor the showing. Though, admitted, they could have gone with less, but 14 commercials is pretty toned down in comparison.

What Micca said. ;)

I did not see it...but it inspired me to mention TIVO or DVR (through your cable co)...I almost NEVER watch TV, except for an occaisonal DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER...(just love The DOG)....

And my DS' will never watch a show when it is on...they TIVO everything and then sit down and watch it and fast forward right through all those annoying commercials. They will TIVO a 9PM show and watch it at 10pm and NO COMMERCIALS.

Just a thought. I basically could NEVER do anything like that as I am completely technically challenged.

Be happy you got to see it. DirecTV had a screen message on our channel saying they were aware that our channel was currently off air and they were working on it and please don't call them

I wasn't complaining, just observing. I'm ok with disney paying the bills...though I did keep hoping for a WDW commercial and never saw one :-(
