13th Bday for DD in Nov Can't get CRT

My DD is turning 13 and we are taking our first trip to WDW (with our 5 kids) in Nov. We will be in MK for her actual Bday (14th) and she desperately wants to go to CRT, with BOG as a second choice. Tried to book both and nothing at either for the duration of our trip (ya know, free dining and all...)

What are my odds, Disfriends? What else would be awesome for a 13th bday?

There is still a lot of time between now and November. Keep checking for CRT...people's plans change, so ADR do come open. I've had pretty good luck getting ADRs, but it takes some persistence (i.e., checking multiple times per day if possible) and a bit of luck. Don't give up!

Some people pre-booked their vacations in anticipation of the free dining, but they have until 45 days before to pay. Figure out the times around those deadlines and see what pops up. Just be vigilant! Some people check several times a day and finally have some luck Check breakfast lunch and dinner. I have even see where people got reservations for CRT or BOG a couple of days before. Your party size may be an issue as well (Party of 7) Someone suggested booking even numbers as most reservations are for 2, 4, 6 etc. Maybe you can snag a reservation for 6 then call daily to see if you can add another. Just don't give up! There are other great places to eat where you can see the fireworks, like Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian, plus there is 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella as hostess. Things like that. Just keep trying, and good luck!

Oh and be sure to check the November cancellation thread. People will post on there when they are dropping or changing a reservation. They'll let you know the time, and you can call WDW dining and see if you are able to get it! Be sure to read the rules first!

our party size may be an issue as well (Party of 7) Someone suggested booking even numbers as most reservations are for 2, 4, 6 etc. Maybe you can snag a reservation for 6 then call daily to see if you can add another.

I agree with everything else, but would highly recommend that the OP looks for tables for parties of 8 (one larger than the party size). It's easier to reduce the party size by one opposed to adding a person to the party size. If s/he finds a table for 8, at least s/he has a reservation for a large enough table. S/he can call to ask about having the party size reduced. If s/he finds a table for 6, s/he still hast to find a reservation for 1 or 2 and then hope that the restaurant can combine the ADRs or be seated near each other, but there is no guarantee that will happen.

You have more than enough time with your trip being in November, just check as often as possible, especially in the weeks close to your trip and whenever your 45 day mark is. I wouldn't worry too much, just be flexible with meal and time.

Another vote for 1900 Park Fair with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and stepsisters/mom! I would try to get this as a back up....it is great and one of our favorite character meals. The stepsisters are hilarious and totally in character! You can still look for CRT and BOG persistently, but I would book something else in case something doesn't open up! There has been at least 1 time when I looked consistently (obsessively) for months and never did snag an ADR.....not trying to be negative.....lots of times something WILL open up, but I would book a back up just in case
