My thirteen year old oven is acting up. It beeps and shows a fault signal. The "F2" code indicates a problem with the heat sensor. The oven is not heating properly. The question is whether the oven is worth fixing? :confused3 If the repair cost of high enough, I might as well go ahead and but a new one. Your opinions would be very helpful.

I suppose you should do some comparison shopping. I think based on it's age, and that you would only be spending $500 or so on a new one, when I can't imagine parts and repair being under $200, I would maybe get a new one.

How close are you to Nebraska Furniture Mart? Back when they were only in Omaha they would deliver to Kansas City for $45.00. I don't know how far they will go, but that was 2 and 1/2 hours. They are the most reasonable I have found. I am on the lookout because my DH wants a gas oven.

If you want it: www.nebraskafurnituremart.com

The closest one to Indiana is Des Moines, and it looks promising because I put in my zip code as my old Detroit one and they didn't say it was not a delivery area or anything.

I'd just get a new one even if it costs a little more because it is an update that can add a small value to your home.

In appliance terms after 7 years it is considered "old" and not worth fixing.
I would say you got your money's worth!:thumbsup2
Get a new one.
