Don't laugh, but I have 13 shirts made that I need to put into the vinegar wash:rotfl2: They are all white, but have different colors in the designs. Will it be okay to wash them all together? Do I still just use 1 cup of vinegar for this many shirts?

Am I asking too many questions, LOL!!!!

I'm excited about the shirts but don't want to mess them up at this point in the game --

Thanks for your help!

Well, let's see - is that all you have?! I think I did about 20 at one time - yellow, red, green, tan, white, pink, fuchsia. And you're worried about WHITE?! :rotfl2:

My first "load" I did in a High-Efficient (HE) washer and it only held 3/4c. white vinegar in the detergent hole so that's all I used. They turned out fine if you ask me! (The house did smell a tinge of vinegar though! :lmao: )

My second "load" I took to the laundromat and had maybe 6 shirts. This time I used 3/4 c. again (b'c it worked fine the previous time).

I washed mine all together and then dried them all together. When I had only 6 shirts, I threw a couple of full size bath towels in the dryer to keep the shirts from wrinkling too much. I also hung the shirts up on hangers IMMEDIATELY after taking them out of the dryer to reduce wrinkles.

Thanks! Into the washer they ALL went this morning. I'm working on a couple of dark tshirt designs today so I'll do those separately. I appreciate your help so much:)

Lisa, please let me know how they come out, maybe even post some photos if you don't mind. I'd like to make some white, but I'm also afraid that they would bleed or run (even with a vinigar wash). That's just my hang up with white!! Thanks.

I've made all my shirts but I don't know what to do as far as the vinegar wash. :confused3 Is there any way it could hurt the shirts? How exactly do you do it?

I'll post the pictures tomorrow, but it seems like they came through the wash ok. I want to iron them a little before I photograph them, but I promise to post pics!

Thanks again for your help -

Be very very careful ironing your shirts with transfers on them. Protect the image if you are going to iron the back even. It is possible to iron over the transfer but it needs to be done very carefully with tissue paper over the transfer. I would practice with one you don't care about first.
