The Waiting Game

I cannot believe that we are going to WDW three weeks from tomorrow!!! How did it come up so fast? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it - I just feel like I have so much to wrap up in 3 weeks with work. And since I'm working remotely out of DC, I will only be home in NYC this weekend and next weekend, then not until the day before we leave! Luckily, I'm able to take a vacation day that day before go to do laundry and pack, phew!

I wanted to post a quick update this morning, and then hopefully a longer update with some of my wish list items later today or tonight!

I got a sassy new 'do on Monday, courtesy of my friend D, yay! We had a blast talking Disney. She has a connection to get free Disney World tickets (just for herself), but it's making me nervous because she still doesn't have the actual tickets, which means she doesn't have any FP+ reservations. I'm sweating it a bit, I hope we can reserve her FP+'s once she has the tickets and coordinate them with our windows. But it's out of my control, so I'm not going to stress over it. She's also now getting a 3-day park hopper, but she's not sure if she will go to the parks Saturday-Monday or Sunday-Tuesday... I'm trying to shut off my planner brain and just go with it.

I've heard from everyone except G's parents that their MBs have arrived, including B&F...

They texted me this photo. It reminds me of superheroes.

We decided to switch to DHS for Monday morning because Sunday may have too much going on with the MK and my birthday brunch, and we may also go to an MK resort that evening to see HalloWishes. I tried to align our FP+ windows with the one's J already had, but I couldn't get any FP+ for TSMM until late afternoon, and that won't work because we are going to the Wilson Phillips concert and then have an ADR for dinner at the Cape May Cafe at the BC. So I used the Tier 1 FP+ for us all to go on RnRC between 9:05-10:05 AM, except for Mom, who will enjoy the Great Movie Ride. Then I got us all FP+ for Tower of Terror from 10:05-11:05 AM, though I know Mom won't ride it - she may still be on TGMR, it takes awhile. Finally, I got us FP+ for Star Tours from 11:05 AM - 12:05 PM, though I don't love it and don't plan to ride it, and Mom won't ride it, either, so she and I can go watch Muppets 3D or do something else. I didn't switch our FP+ to Muppets 3D because I don't think a FP+ is needed for that, but I guess I could.

On the weather front, while it's too early for me to check the 10-day forecast, I am keeping an eye on the tropics. The Atlantic Basin looks nice and clear, so that's good! Hopefully, it will stay that way!

My Food & Wine Festival Wish List

Before I get to my F&WF wish list, I have some very exciting news!!! D just called me... not only did her Disney connection hook her up with 3-day park hopper tickets, but she said he also told her they come with all kinds of perks, including early entry through the cast member gate?!? I've never heard of this, and she said she didn't have all the details, but she said she would be able to take me with her to get into the parks early! I won't believe it until it happens, but it's fun to consider it happening! I'll see her on Monday, I'm going to her house for a cookout with her family and maybe also the beach. So she and I will link her tickets to her account and reserve her FP+'s then. One less worry, yay!

On to the F&WF! I decided to purchase the Disney Food Blog's e-Book Guide to the F&WF, I highly recommend it! I love having it available on my iPad to look through whenever I want, and it really has helped me plan for the F&WF and determine what special events I wanted to do.

Like any good planner, I have a spreadsheet that includes some selections from the F&WF booths. I've ranked them by "must", "yes", and "maybe". I'm only going to list my absolute must-have's here. All photos are linked to the Disney Food Blog.

AFRICA

Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache and Whipped Cream - holy cow!!!! Also on the must list is the Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream. And to wash it all down - Chilled Coffee featuring Godiva Chocolate Liqueur! I love iced coffee, more than hot coffee, and adding chocolate liqueur to it?! Genius!!!


BLOCK & HANS
This booth features some Disney Family wines and some specialty Festival wines. On my must list is the Festival Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles.


CANADA
A Festival staple that I've never tried but will this trip!

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - talk about a cup of goodness!


DESSERTS & CHAMPAGNE
Seriously, I could just camp out at this booth! But if I must choose just a few...

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashell Truffles - OH MY GOODNESS. And I will happily drink with those the Veuve Clicquot® Ponsardin “Yellow Label” champagne.


FARM FRESH
I have a feeling this is going to be a very popular choice!

Loaded Mac and Cheese with Nueske’s Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers and Green Onions - Wow!!! This looks like enough for a meal!


FRANCE
I am really looking forward to sampling the Sparkling Pomegranate Kir. I know the creme brulee is popular, and my mom can't wait to taste it, but I'm not a big creme brulee fan.


INTERMISSIONS CAFE
I could also buy the Festival Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles here, a good option. I also want to try the Iron Horse Vineyards “Fairy Tale Cuvée” Sparkling Wine.


IRELAND
You know what's coming, right? For this seafood lover, no way can I pass this up!

The lobster and seafood fisherman's pie! Oh my! Again, it looks like enough for a meal, easily! And then dessert... a Warm chocolate pudding with Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur Custard. Heaven.

If I have more time, I'm sure I will sample other goodies, but that's my wish list for what I absolutely must taste!

21 days and counting... yes, we are at the 3-week mark!!!

Change that 13 Adults to 14!

Yes, that's right! J's husband, M, has decided to join us for Days 1-4! They are calling it their 'babymoon' in anticipation of their twins coming... because once those babies arrive, they won't be going anywhere for awhile! This all happened today. As you can imagine, while I am THRILLED to have M join us, my planner brain nearly exploded. I quickly made a list of everything that we needed to modify to incorporate M into our plans.

The room reservation proved the trickiest, and here's why - B&F don't arrive until Saturday, so I already have 5 people on my room reservation (J and G arrive on Friday with me, L and D arrive on Saturday). Five is the maximum we can have in one room at the YC. I didn't want to move L or D to my brother's reservation and then have to move them back once they arrive. Plus, D will arrive several hours before B&F arrive, so that wouldn't work. Since my parents are also checking in on Friday, J and I decided to add M to my parents' room reservation, then on Saturday evening once B&F have arrived and checked in, J&M will both have their rooms switched at the front desk to B&F's room and will stay with them on Saturday and Sunday nights. G will now stay with me both Friday and Saturday nights, and J&M will stay with me on Friday night. So now I'll have 4 people in my room both Friday (J, M, and G) and Saturday (G, L, and D), then it will be just us 3 gals on Sunday and Monday nights. My dad called WDW and added M to his room reservation, and it's showing up for M's profile on My Disney Experience, so we are all set!

J said he would take care of the rest. I think he can still reserve DME 3 weeks out. M will likely end up with the grey standard MB that he'll get when we check in. J reserved M's flight.

ADRs - there are only 2 ADRs that this affects. When I spoke a few weeks ago with the manager at Kona Cafe and changed the ADR from 10 to 12, he assured me that adding 1 or 2 more people wouldn't be a problem, so that's good. So my birthday brunch for Sunday morning is still good to go! M eats vegan, and it looks like Kona can even make Tonga Toast vegan - amazing!

The other ADR is Saturday dinner at Captain's Grille. I only reserved it for 10, and now we will be 14! However, I think G, J and M, and possibly J's parents are all going to the MK to see the MSEP at 8:00 PM and then Wishes at 9:00 PM, so we will probably be okay there.

J is going to make M's FP+ reservations. We're getting to be a big enough group that we likely won't be riding everything together, which is fine. 14 people is a lot, wow! I'm so excited!!!

DHS plans sound great. In terms of Muppet*Vision - we've done it with and without FP+. Absolutely no difference. The only reason we get FP+ is because we don't do ToT or Star Tours and there's not much else to do with a Tier 2 FP+. So you definitely don't need to switch out the FP+.

Yay for an extra guest! I have a few friends who just had kids and they're all pretty busy, so it's nice that J & M are taking some time for themselves before the babies arrive! I'm very impressed that you worked out the room situation - you are definitely a master planner!

Good to know about MuppetVision, thanks! I'm with you - not much else I want to do with Tier 2 FP+ in DHS. I've seen both VoLM and Beauty & the Beast show and frankly don't need to see either of them again. We may go visit One Man's Dream because it sounds like it's slowly being dismantled.

17 days and counting… woohoo!!!

MY RESORTS WISH LIST

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend here in the U.S. I spent Labor Day with D and her family, having a cookout at their Long Island home – it was perfect weather and a very nice way to spend the holiday! Even better, D and I linked her three one-day park hopper e-tickets that her BIL (a Disney CM) gifted her, and we set up D’s FastPass+ reservations – yay! D thought she was only going to the parks for 2 days, but now she has tickets for 3 days, so she’s decided to go Saturday-Monday since Saturday is her arrival day and she will be all excited and ready to go, then she thinks she will be ready to sleep in and relax by the pool all day Tuesday before she has to fly home on Tuesday evening. Sounds like a great plan to me!

In weather news, Tropical Storm Grace is now a Tropical Depression and continues to weaken – yay!!! Even better, there are no other tropical disturbances in the Atlantic right now – here’s hoping it stays that way!

I can’t believe we’re only 17 days away, and this week is going fast already. Soon, I’ll be checking that 10-day weather forecast every day (and who am I kidding, sometimes multiple times a day!).

On to my main topic today – my wish list for resorts. I started keeping a running wish list for resorts, parks, and everything else Disney-related a few years ago. I think it’s great fun to add something to the list when I think of it, and even better when I can cross something off my list! I include dining in with my resorts and parks wish lists. As an example, I had on my wish list to eat at Beaches & Cream and then sit out in the rocking chairs on the YC verandah – I did that on my trip in March/April 2014, and it was delightful!

Out of 26 items on my resorts wish list, I’ve accomplished two so far. I won’t go into detail on all of them, but here are some of my wishes I’d like to come true on this trip:

• Swim in the rain at a resort pool – not while it’s lightning, but just swim in the rain. I love that feeling, and I’ll already be wet! Plus, sometimes the pool empties out when it starts to rain!

• Stay at the Beach Club or Yacht Club… I think this one is coming true, barring a major change in plans beyond my control!

• Watch IllumiNations while swimming in Stormalong Bay – I’ve seen the photos, it looks like it’s possible to see some of the fireworks from the pool! Or watch it from the BC beach, probably a better view!

• Climb to the top of the SAB slide at sunset for a great view! I love this one!

• Swim in SAB at night! (Are you seeing a pattern? Yes, I’m very excited to spend a lot of time in SAB!)

• Get a massage - I’m debating on this one for this trip. I’m sure the YC spa is lovely, but the Senses spa at the GF looks really nice. The massage prices are very high, as expected. I’m not sure I want to spend my valuable time at WDW getting a massage, but I might change my mind by Day 7!

• Do a monorail bar crawl (Poly, GF, Contemporary) with friends. I’m hoping we find time to fit this one in at some point.

• Watch the Electrical Water Pageant from one of the MK resorts. Not sure this one will happen, but maybe if we are at an MK resort lounge and step outside to watch it… all depends on the timing.

• Sit inside at the bar at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Poly. I may have better luck accomplishing this one when I’m alone rather than with a large group. I’ve been reading that the crowds have died down some at Trader Sam’s, especially after 8:00 PM, so I’m hoping if I go alone or if some of us go after dinner one evening, we will be able to sit inside.

• Experience entertainment on the Boardwalk – Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings! This one should be easy enough to experience.

So that’s my resorts wish list! I will keep track and report back on how many wishes come true on this trip!

• I love the superhero Magic Band photo! How fun!
• I would have been really nervous at the lack of tickets for a member of my party, too...but it sounds like it worked out well!
• ANOTHER person??? Party central!!!!
• Your F&W list sounds great - I only warn you off the waffle with chocolate ganache. The one I had wasn't good. The Hubs didn't like it either. BUT, I have heard the berry one is fantastic. As you know, though, it could have just been an off day, as we have only had it once.
• The only addition I would say is a must-have is the slider at Hawaii - that thing is AMAZING!
• You will LOVE Ireland...it was ALL amazing.
• I love your wish lists! I need to do that! And I second swimming in the rain. That does sound fun! I also love that your wishes are specific experiences - brilliant and meaningful!

14 days until WDW!!!

MY PLANNING LIST FOR ANY WDW VACATION

Wow, I can’t believe that after all this planning, I will be leaving for WDW two weeks from today! That’s AMAZING! It seriously feels like a dream that I will be staying here in 14 days, for 8 days!!!

I got a very nice email from the Flying Fish Café, asking me to verify if I have any allergies or dietary restrictions for my signature dining experience there. I don’t have any, so I’m good to eat whatever they choose! I took that as a reminder to look up some history of the Guarachi wineries, the owner will be at the dinner. I think I’m going to enjoy these wines, they are well-known for their Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. I really enjoy rich red wines, and no doubt the Flying Fish chef will pair some delectable foods with these rich wines. I can’t wait!

I’m going home this evening for the weekend (I’m working on a temporary assignment in DC). I have a long list of things to do, since I’m not sure yet if I’ll be able to go home next weekend – so this may be the last weekend that I’m home before the trip!

I keep a running list of what I need to do to plan and prepare for the trip. This could apply to any WDW trip. Here’s a general breakdown:

200+ days out (if possible)

• Start the pre-planning – read a few books on the best time to go, check out websites and message boards. I really like the Unofficial Guide to WDW, and I think the Disney Food Blog is an excellent resource for F&B.
• Select a resort, and reserve room.
• Check park hours.
• Make very tentative plans for each day.
• Develop a budget for the trip. Include resort, airfare (or gas, tolls, and any parking fees if driving; or rental car), transportation to/from airports (I take a taxi to the airport in NYC), any transportation if you’re going off-site (i.e. to Universal Studio), food and drinks, souvenirs, and park tickets.

190 days out (if staying on property)

• Make ADRs.
• Update budget with estimates for F&B based on ADRs made.

90-120 days out

• Book airfare.
• Buy park tickets (unless a price increase is near, then do this earlier).
• Update budget.
• Check for updated park hours. Make preliminary touring plans.

60 days out

• Make FP+ reservations. Add them into the touring plans and reconfigure if necessary.
• Add your wish list items into your itinerary. Be sure to include down time to relax, swim, and resort hop if you want.
• Check if any room discounts have been released for your dates. If so, call Disney and have those discounts applied to your room.
• Decide if you want to purchase Memory Maker.

45 days out

• Online check-in (unless you want to check in at the front desk, which I think I actually prefer, especially for this trip with such a large group)
• Reserve Disney Magical Express from/to airport if you need it.
• Customize MagicBands on My Disney Experience.
• Check monthly weather forecast to get an idea
• Start planning outfits and doing any necessary shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories, bathing suits, etc.

30 days out

• Check your resort’s activity calendar (released the first of every month usually).
• Try on your outfits, make any adjustments needed.
• Create your packing list.
• Arrange pet care if you need it.

3 weeks out

• Give any roommates you have their MagicBands and DME letters and luggage tags (if they are shipped to you, or get them from the person who made the room reservation).
• Make any final adjustments to your itinerary and touring plans.
• Finalize your shopping list for WDW, and update your budget.

2 weeks out

• Check if you need any prescription refills.
• Create a list of anything you need to buy before you go – snacks to take on the airplane or into the parks, travel toiletries, etc.

1 week out

• Buy your travel necessities.
• Check the forecast (daily, if you’re like me!).
• Print resort reservations and any ADR confirmation numbers.
• Print out or take screenshots of FP+ reservations, so you don’t have to rely on WiFi in the parks if your MagicBand doesn’t work for a FP+ reservation.
• Make sure your credit cards are all set for those charges to come!

2-4 days out

• Do laundry, and start packing!
• Get any cash you think you’ll need for the trip.

The day before

• Check in online to your flight (if not driving).
• Finish packing.
• Buy any perishable food that you want to take (i.e. apples).

At WDW

• Pick up any celebration buttons at your resort’s front desk or at Guest Relations.
• Request wake-up calls from a Disney buddy (last November, it was Olaf).
• Keep a trip journal.
• Shop for souvenirs.
• Get lots of photos taken from the PhotoPass photographers, especially if you purchased Memory Maker!
• Tip Mousekeeping daily (since you may not have the same Mousekeeper every day).
• Check for any Bounceback offers (dial #8844).
• HAVE FUN! YOU’RE AT WDW!!!

After the trip

• Check out photos on Memory Maker, and order photos within 30 days of first download.
• Do a trip report!
• Plan your next trip to WDW!

So, that’s my long checklist to prepare for a WDW trip! What do you think, did I miss anything?

This was good for me to review this list, because I realized I’m a bit behind in a few things. Believe it or not, I don’t have touring plans made for all 8 days yet, so I definitely want to do that this weekend! I like to make a Plan A and Plan B for most days, and sometimes the day ends up being a mix of both plans, or something entirely different – I just feel better to know I have options already thought out.

I think I’m doing well in building in free time into my itinerary. I’m being especially mindful of this for my parents – being in their mid-60s, they just won’t want to go full force in the parks all day long, and that’s okay with me! That’s the beauty of having 8 days on this trip, with the last 2 days by myself – I can do anything then that I don’t fit in with my family and friends. I’m definitely interested in having fun in the parks with everyone, but mostly I just want to spend time with everyone.

I need to create my pre-trip shopping list this weekend, and buy any non-perishables I need. I also want to check out the Shop Disney Parks app and make my shopping wish list for the trip… I just need to remember that I will be back, I don’t have to buy it all right now!

I am so excited for Stormalong Bay! D told me she's most excited about that, too. I have a feeling that once people see it, a lot of our party will be spending some quality time there! The only tough part will be that J's parents and G's parents aren't staying at YC, and I've heard they are strict about only resort guests using SAB, which is fine - they are at WDW for such a short amount of time, and there are plenty of places to sit on the veranda if they want to hang at the YC.

I will do my best to take lots of pictures of we see the Electrical Water Pageant, absolutely! I may go see it at one of the resorts on Wednesday night after B&F leave and I'm solo, if we haven't seen it yet at that point.

13 days, I can't believe it! I'm listening to a great WDW Planning Playlist on Spotify (love Spotify!) while I update my spreadsheet and of course catch up on these boards!

12 days until WDW!!!

AK Day Changes

F is in town for work, so he and I met up for brunch yesterday and had a great time catching up - I haven't seen him and B since I stayed with them in LA in June. F sounds like he's looking forward to WDW. When I told him that WDW is 48 square miles, twice the size of Manhattan, he was in shock! He still has no idea what to expect, and I love that. But he has been reading about WDW some, or maybe B told him about the AKL because I was telling F how each resort has a different theme - this was as we were looking at food porn photos online of Tonga Toast, which is my birthday breakfast choice, ha - and F said what about that resort with the animals? He wants to see that one. I said Animal Kingdom Lodge, yes!

I had made a FP+ reservation for dinner at BOG back in March when I thought there would still be 6 of us at WDW for that Tuesday, Day 5. But now it will only be me, F and B. So F and I went back to my apartment and got on FaceTime with B. I asked B if he's okay with me canceling the BOG dinner ADR and switching it to a restaurant at AKL - B said it was fine with him. I know some people would love nothing more than to have dinner at BOG, but I think we may need some time away from the parks by that point. And since we are going to AK that day with my parents, why not continue the AK theme into dinner!

So I canceled the BOG ADR, then had to make a decision - Sanaa, Boma, or Jiko? Hmmm... I've eaten lunch at Sanaa and loved it. Boma and Jiko are pricier, especially Jiko, but I decided I'd like to try one of those two since I've already been to Sanaa. I texted B with links to their menus and prices, he said either was fine with him. At first I was leaning more towards Jiko - it seems like it's quieter and geared more for adults, and we wouldn't have to be going up to the buffet a lot. But then I thought about this next year with my Annual Pass and what I want to do with it - I'd really love to stay at the AKL! If I go solo, Jiko is easier to dine solo than Boma. I found it hard at The Wave to go to the buffet when I was alone, I had to bring my purse, and I was afraid they were going to clear away my table and give it someone else. I've actually heard of that happening to other solo diners. Also, the Boma dinner buffet looks amazing! And even though I know I could get these at The Mara, I really am looking forward to trying them with dinner!

Zebra Domes! I've heard so much about them. So Boma it is! I think this will be great, there is so much I'll want to sample of different types of food. I made our ADR for 7:30 PM, so we will have time to go back to the YC after the AK, relax and maybe swim, see D off as she leaves for the airport, see my parents off as they drive home, then head to the AKL. I'd like to get there early, before sunset, so F and B can see the savannah before it's dark outside.

Backing up to lunch that day, my parents yesterday were asking me questions about places to eat lunch in the AK. I'm really excited to try the new Harambe Market, and I told them about the different types of food there. I could tell my mom wasn't quite on board with that, so I sent her a link from the Disney Food Blog with the menus and photos. She emailed back, "We will keep it in mind." Yeah, that's Mom code for "Uh, I don't think so." Maybe she will change her mind once we are there. I get the feeling that AK may be too much for her - that will be her 5th day in the parks, and there is a lot of walking without much shade at AK. Plus, she will be ready to get home and pick up their dog from their friend who's watching her. So I have a feeling our day at AK will be cut short, which probably means no FOTLK and no Flights of Wonder, and lunch back at the BC/YC. So that means that I'll be heading back to the AK either Thursday or Friday because I REALLY want to see FOTLK, I've never seen it! And I really want to eat at Harambe Market. I'm glad I have 2 extra days!

My parents were also asking questions about where to eat breakfast, which really we will only need for 2 mornings, since the other 2 mornings we have the Parisian breakfast and then my birthday brunch. I sent them links to the Ale & Compass lounge at the YC, which has a continental breakfast, and the BC Marketplace. I also told them that on Tuesday morning when L has to leave really early for the airport, I'm planning to get ready for our day at the AK, then walk over to the Boardwalk Bakery to get breakfast for everyone.

I need to head out - I'm meeting J and other friends to go see a show, yay! And I'm taking him his DME luggage tags since I forgot to bring them when I gave him his MB last week!

10 days until WDW… oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!

MY PARKS WISH LIST

My current wish list of restaurants, attractions, shows, and other fun activities at the parks is at 28 items. Out of those 28, I’ve crossed off 12 – not bad! One wish that I accomplished last trip was to ride Splash Mountain multiple times, and I did that – no one was in line, so the CMs let me ride it twice in a row!

Some of my wishes just aren’t going to happen on this trip. I want to do bus roulette at least once, where I’d get on the first bus that comes. I think it’s cheating if I do this at the YC, because if I do bus roulette, it’s only to the MK or AK (or Disney Springs). I could do boat roulette to either EPCOT or DHS – nah. I’d rather wait until I’m staying somewhere that has buses to all 4 parks. Of course, I could go to Disney Springs and then do bus roulette from there… hmmm. We shall see!

Here are the wishes I think I have a good chance of making come true this trip:

• Ride the Wildlife Express Train in AK and go to Conservation Station. I think I’d better try to fit this one in, because from what I’ve read, it may disappear soon with all the changes coming to AK!

• In DHS’ Streets of America, step on the grate under the umbrella to make it rain, a la Singing in the Rain. Another one that I think will soon disappear, so I’d better find it this trip!

• Buy breakfast in France, and walk around the pavilion with no one around. This is definitely coming true with our Parisian breakfast, woohoo!

• Meet Winnie the Pooh in the UK. I love Winnie the Pooh! Twice now, I’ve wandered around in the UK pavilion and have accidentally come across the exit to the house where Pooh’s meet and greet is. I want to meet him this time!

• Meet Mickey in the Magic Kingdom! I reserved a FP+ to meet Mickey on my last day, so hopefully everything will work out and this will happen!

• Take the monorail from MK to EPCOT. This one sounds funny, I know… it’s a childhood thing. I have memories of taking the monorail through the Contemporary and being in awe that it went through the Contemporary, and then taking it into EPCOT. But now understanding how it all works, we must have switched at the TTC. Anyway, I want to do it this trip!

• Ride the Astro Orbitor at night in the MK. I don’t think I’ve ever been on it before, and I know it’s a typical spin ride, but I think the view would be very nice, especially at night when Tomorrowland and all the park is all lit up. Bonus points if I ride it during Wishes!

• Watch the Kiss Goodnight. I’ve tried to catch this in the MK before, and I never waited long enough I guess. This is the 2-minute show at the castle that supposedly happens every 30 minutes after the park closes. I am planning to be there until park closing on Day 6, after B&F leave, so I hope I see it!

I think Boma is a great choice! Those zebra domes are amazing! Sanaa is on my list for my October 2016 solo trip!

We rode this the night of MNSSHP. It is a basic spinning ride, but I love taking the elevator up and the view of Tomorrowland is great!

Again, love the wish list! I have never head about the minute show at MK after closing...we will only be at MK late one evening for EMH, so I doubt we will see it. This is awesome to know, though! I think it was Peoplemover we were on late one night and that wasn't even very high up, but it was cool to see things lit up! Good view of the castle for a minute, too!

Don't get me wrong, I love Manhattan, but ... it's not hard to be twice the size of Manhattan. Really.

I love BOG (seriously), but ... I can totally get why that far into the trip you may want some time away from the parks. And BOG can be a little hectic sometimes ... I think Boma will be a great alternative!

I think that one of the best part of having solo days at the end of a long, big trip is that you can go back and do anything you missed. With the big group, even when you split up, there will definitely be some compromises and some things that you miss - and it's awesome that you have days at the end of the trip when you can go back and see things you missed. And FOTLK is definitely worth seeing - it's great!

I finally found the umbrella in Streets of America last trip ... and it didn't rain! Probably because it was about 50 degrees. I hope you have better luck with the rain!

Astro Orbitor is not exactly like the other spin rides because it's a little tilted. Some people hate it, but I don't mind it. The view at night is definitely beautiful, though!

The Kiss Goodnight is probably one of my favorite things at MK. Mostly because I never actually plan to see it, it just happens. It really is the perfect way to end the day!

I would go back to Sanaa in a heartbeat, I loved my one lunch there! Probably on the must-do for my next trip after this one!

LOL, not weird to want to see a vet procedure, although once I saw something I didn't need to see at a zoo - an elephant had an infection in her private parts, and the vet was treating it. It looked SO PAINFUL!

I know exactly where you mean the view of the castle is on the PeopleMover - I always try to take a photo, and it always comes out blurry!

I am so excited about The Kiss Goodnight, I hope I don't miss it. But there's always the next trip. I definitely want to see FOTLK this trip, though!
