12x12 Weird Everyday Completed Page Prototypes

I count the ones I do for other but not mine- so in a group of 4 I would count it as 3 done. In return I should not count pages done by others in later months when they are returned to me and I use them. I will count my own pages when I finish making them. So of the pages I ave done over the last weekend 15 that are posted and 3 not posted are from this swap. I haven't updated my total since finishing the red pages this evening.

My feeling on this is that I am doing the work on the pages now. Adding the pictures and journaling to someone elses pages won't be nearly as much work as the creating is now.

Does this make sense?

I was also thinking that I could leave ribbon off and just send it along and if anyone wanted to add they could.

THE in a small box on one side and Great Outdoors on the other. I thought about matting it, but I like seeing the background paper through it. These aren't glued down yet, I may still do the matting with the background paper as the top layer, like the journaling box.


Susan, I count the pages when I make them for the monthly challenge and count them when I use them for the scrapping with swapped challenge. Although I did forget to count the first grouping we made way back when. I know I won't use all the ones I get, so I better count them when I make them or they won't ever counted in our totals.

Rita - yes I am in the black. And I think sending the ribbon and not adhereing the bottom corners to the background paper is a perfect compromise.

Yes, the embossing is raised you can lightly run an ink pad over it and it will just shades the embossed sections giving it a slightly distressed black and white look. There is so much of the bright white in that section I just thought it might help it blend into the rest of the page. Try doing it on a small portion and see if you like the look and if you think it would fit before using the larger sections.

I went back and inked it and it does tone it down a bit and add shading. I did the bar and the topper.
I will send little baggies of ribbon instead of putting it on. I just love those little baggies from OTC! So many different uses! Im using them for the surprise swap too, instead of having looses beads, etc rolling around!

Well, no protypes yet...but I have sketches, the wording all done and I really am happy with everything! I am hoping to be done before the protoype due date!

I just about broke down in tears on the 4x4 swap. I put a patterned paper over cardstock and was using the 5" Xyron so that when I punch the wholes, no paper seperating. I forgot to ink before I put them in the Xryon. I had no idea those things got sooo sticky. I couldn't ink the edges on one set. I didn't make that mistake twice.

you need daubers. I bought some nice ones at Michael's (I think). Slip a piece of scrap paper under the edge of the mat and dab away. I'll look to see if I see any tomorrow.

Heres what I did:
I placed everything on the 12x12 and left the ribbon off. I only used 2 mounting squares on each mat so if you wanted to go back and add the ribbon you could. So if anything falls off during shipping, I apologize.
There is a little baggie with ribbon and a magnet in the big back.
The magnet is just for fun. And it matchs the papers and stickers!

I have 2 protoypes done! Woo hoo! I'm even early...(well, a little bit anyway...). The pictures are still on my camera, so I'll post them later this weekend. I did Winter and Fall. All of the rest are printed and the paper has been selected.

Just so everyone knows...I didn't buy a single sheet of paper for this swap. I have 6 groups and I had all of the paper I need to complete all groups. I don't know if I'm excited or scared about that prospect!

I know how you feel -- I didn't buy anything for the 1st 4 groups I did. I was intially excited about, then I realized it probably means I have way too much stuff.

I would like you all to know that Banana and I are completely done, including bagged and info on the bags!

I have post-its that I stick on my wall right by my computer where I can see them and now I can take this one down!

Now what do I do? Surprise? School? or work on my baggies? And I bought Jolees at Jos yesterday for the DHS swap which I wasnt even going to do until I saw them.
