I have visited WDW or DL during Presidents week for the past several years. The airfare out of the Northeast, particularly from NYC and north / east can be crazy. $600+ per person round trip is not unheard of.

To get around such prices I have been very flexible with my flight dates and have instead flown out of Philly, Allentown and Baltimore (even though I live in NYC)... or into Tampa or Jacksonville.

This year I was quite nervous as I am taking a Disney Cruise and I cant be very flexible on dates I can fly.

Well it seem like Frontier Airlines which is a Denver based airline is expanding in the northeast. They now fly to MCO from Allentown and Harrisburg (taking over AirTran's slots). They also recently announced service from Trenton NJ (who knew they had an airport there)!

They are not flying out of these airports every day, I booked out of Allentown for $189 round trip that works with my calendar, but I found flights leaving and returning on Fridays or Mondays in mid-February from Trenton for $127 ROUND TRIP! The regular price for this flight is $137, but if you put in the promo code FLY10 you get 10% off the pretax airfare (FLY10 promo code also worked on my Allentown flight).

This is an awesome deal.

Thanks for the info on the Fly10 code! We just booked a weekend trip for my birthday! :cheer2: I got 4 roundtrip tickets for $504! I knew these APs would get me into trouble!

Please make sure you post how the airline is in terms of service, on time, etc They are soon flying out of Trenton too!
Thanks have a great trip

Frontier recently started service out of Harriburg and Allentown PA... and will start Trenton, NJ in Nov.

There is a trip report where a DISer flew out of Harrisburg. She includes pictures from the plane.

Frontier is a great airline. Be aware of the 3 types of tickets. The cheapest is the no frills, pay extra for bags. I usually buy the middle ticket if I'm planning to check bags.

Jill is right. I think there was a $23 diff between the no frills booking and the mid-range booking. Mid-range gives you 2 free checked bags (a $40 value) and free DirectTV (a $6 value). You also can book better seats w the mid-range.

When we booked our trip... I booked one ticket at the mid-range price and three cheapo tickets. We will all sit together in the back. When onboard, I will pay the $6 for the TV for the rest of the family.

great deal we to are going on a Disney Cruise during presidents week Wonder out of Miami, and the flights are $$$$$ I checked Frontier but they do not fly out of any whre near me Boston /Providence!!! Congrats on the great deal!!!

yeah, you stumbled on a good budget secret...if an airline is starting up somewhere, you can find SWEET deals:cool1: or being as flexible as possible with dates, and where you will depart from(aka,a drive can reduce your fares)
one memorable year we drove 1 1/2 hrs to the airport to get $38 flights from MA to MCO on a starting up airline....:thumbsup2

I don't know if it's just me....and maybe I'm doing it wrong. But everything I seem to put in for criteria comes back "no criteria found". ???? :confused3 I'm trying to price a flight from New Orleans to Orlando. And on the first page, it lets me select both as departure and arrival.... but then when I put in dates (and I tried for every month that they have open just to check) and it's saying "no flights found".

Has anyone else had this problem ? :confused3

Yup. Same problem Harrisburg to Orlando.

Oh great rates to MCO would be awesome but their allergy statement seems risky for us (DS has peanut allergies and we normally fly Southwest because they are awesome).
