I have already booked POFQ on the 40% off room for Dec. I thought the pool with slide would be perfect. Now I have seen the CSR pool and read a post that POFQ is for kids under 9 years? CSR for kids over 9 years?

Which resort do you all prefer? My son uses a wheelchair, if this helps!

Thank you!

Definitely CSR!! Your DS will love the main pool area and the arcade. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info. As far as CSR of kids over nine, my DD has love it since she was 5. The slide, the pool, the Pepper Market, all of it. SHe is part of the reason I can't try any other resort. That and the boss (DW) doesn't want to.

My DS15 & DS13 said to tell you CSR. They do not need a wheelchair, but they said it wouldn't matter - they still recommend CSR. By the way, we've recently stayed at both resorts.

Last May, we traveled with my DF. He must use a ECV due to his disabilities. We stayed in Casita 5. It is located near Bus Stop 2 which is the first to board and first to disembark. I highly recommend a request for a building near this stop. Many thanks to Buzz for this wonderfully helpful advice.

You're welcome!

We've stayed at POFQ twice. I love that resort but the slide is boring for my boys now. They are 12 & 11 years old. So that is why we chose CSR for our stay in 17 days!!!
The boys can't wait to check out CSR's slide!

I think I will see if I can change! Gosh, that resort is beautiful (CSR). I think my son will love this. Can't believe there is even sandy beaches!

CSR hands down. My son is 13 and hopes he never has to stay at POFQ again due to the lack of quiet pools, smallish slide and he just didn't find enough at that resort to spread his heels around! And if you are using WDW transporatation, CSR is also great, the busses are seldom crowded. Whereas at POFQ it could be a problem esp. given your wheelchair scenario. POFQ is lovely and very romantic and perfect for little kids, but given the age of your son, I would go with CSR, you won't be sorry. Have a wonderful trip!

Is the Casita 5 building considered preferred?

Thank you
Charleyann

Going to call Disney in a few minutes to see if I can possible switch. Gosh, I hope this is the right choice and is this by dar the best moderate????

CSR doesn't have preferred rooms so no its not considered preferred. Some of the rooms are waterview rooms though. That was the first building I stayed in and it is a beautiful spot. Our room overlooked a fountain and the lake. Had views of the higher fireworks from Epcot and MGM as well.

Is the CSR pool zero entry?

I believe the only zero entry pools are those at AKL and Poly. So if that is a concern, I'd book a room there.

Also, people in wheelchairs are boarded first at any resort or park. In other words, when you leave the park at night you will be placed in the front of the que.

SSR also has a zero entry pool. Wheelchairs are boarded first, however, the buses can only accomodate so many. So if there are more than a couple, you have to wait for the next bus. We had to do that several times a couple of Jauary's ago with my fil in his chair. Since CSR is technically a convention resort, I'd go with that one for the transporation alone. Although I guess OP might be renting a car in which case it doesn't matter.

My choice would be CSR! Didn't care for the PO resorts. CSR offers great amenities, a fantastic pool and awesome transportation!
