Hello all,

I'd love to hear from those who have gone on this cruise, the good and the bad. How is it for children? Ages 10, 5 and 3. Did you love it? Too much for the young ones?

Hi, we did the 12 night Barcelona to Venice sailing in 2014 with an 8 year old and a 5 year old. It was a wonderful trip. We made sure to schedule our port days with them in mind and alternated long days with short days. For example in Villefranche we did the Monaco, Monte Carlo and Eze full day excursion and the next day did Easy Pisa (half day) so we had time in the afternoon to swim and relax on the ship. If it was just my husband and I, we would have done much more but we loved being able to expose our kids to so many different places without burning them out.

We did the 11-night Med cruise in 2011 with 3.5, 6 and 7 year olds and it was FANTASTIC! It's the way to go with littles, I think. Travel can be stressful and usually, especially in Europe, getting from place to place is the worst part. Letting Disney do that for you is amazing. Plus, it's Disney, so it's designed with kids in mind.

We did everything on our own (again in 2014 when we did the Greek Isles cruise), which makes sense for us, especially with little kids, so we can keep our own schedule and adjust on the fly if needed. We had some long days, but we also brought along our stroller. It was a little bit of a pain folding it up to get on and off public transport, but it saved us with giving our two youngests a place to rest and nap. The old streets killed the wheels in the end, but it was worth it.

I have the trip report in my blog if you are interested to give you an idea of our days, etc.

We did the 12 night Baltic in July 2105 with our DS, 11 and DD, 2, and had a great time. We never saw DS as he was off with friends at the Edge, and we used the nursery for DD so we could have some "adult" time. We used private tours in all the cities and had wonderful experiences. We also left DD in the nursery the first day we were in Copenhagen.

We are also booked on the Magic this summer for the 12 night Med cruise.
