12/8 do we need 8 adult dinner package for Fantasmic

Hi folks...
need your opinion...8 adults headed for MGM all day 12/8..6 are newbys. Prime Time Diner at noon...all Fantasmic dinners are too early to eat again...
do you think at this time of the year, Fantasmic will be so crowded that only dinner package folks will get in 45 minutes before the show???

I have done Fantasmic about 4 times over our past 2 visits - both during the 4th of July week (Very crowded !). All 4 times we got in without a problem just by being on line about 45 - 60 mins. before the show. I can't imagine that you would have a problem in a less crowded season. That being said, I have NEVER been there any other time of year...until our upcoming December trip . Good luck !!
