Here is our itinerary for 12/31 at MK Any advice appreciated!

6:50 welcome show

7DMT
Pooh

Small World if time

8:00 RD for Splash Mountain (where do we line up for RD inside the park?)
8:30 Haunted Mansion
9:00 Pirates

9:20 FP Jungle Cruise
Small World if not done earlier
10:00 Hall of Presidents
Liberty Bell Boat (can skip if no time)
11:00 am ice cream at Plaza Rest. (best way to get there in crowds?) can we watch parade from here?
12:00 parade (starts in Frontierland heads toward firehouse on Main St, about 25 min long)
12:25 FP Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (probably enter ride line about 1pmish)
2:00 Have BOG Ressie
3:30 Country Bear Jamboree
4:30 Tiki Room
Tom Sawyer Island (can skip)
6:30 Frozen Holiday Wish Show
7:00 Philharmagic
8:00 dinner at Cosmic Ray (will be crowded need full hour?)
8:40 FP Buzz
9:30 Peoplemover
10:00 Carousel of Progress
10:30 Monsters Inc
Fireworks start 11:48pm
Space Mountain/Aladdin

I think I wouldnt do Small World after Jungle Cruise if you can't do it during emh. I would try around 7 before or after philharmagic.

FWIW, I think your line-up looks good. Between 10-11 might be difficult to do both Liberty Bell and Hall of Presidents. Grab your ice cream and stake out your spot for the 12pm parade. Main Street around 10-10:30am should be getting pretty nuts. 8pm dinner at Cosmic Rays will likely take longer than 40 minutes, but I'm assuming the Buzz FP+ is 8:40-9:40? If so, you should be fine. Castle lighting will be crowded. I would personally skip Tom Sawyer Island and stake out my spot for castle lighting. Maybe try to squeeze in a ride that has a short wait time instead of TSI. We tried to stand in front of the castle the first time we went to the castle lighting and due to the crowds and shoulder kids, couldn't see the show very well. The next time, we went a little further back and stood by a planter and could see much better. That is my plan again this year. We will be at MK on 12/29 and 1/2. We decided to forego the NYE MK fireworks this year for Club Villain and Jingle Bam. We have been to WDW over the past 3 years Christmas/NYE week. The crowds are crazy, but if you know how to navigate them, you can do just fine! Have a wonderful trip!

Thank you! We don't mind skipping Liberty Boat. My daughter was the captain on our last trip. Have not been to Tom Sawyer since I was a kid and dd has not been, so would like to squeeze it in but would also like to try to get to the Castle for the show. What time do you recommend staking out a spot?

If you can squeeze in TSI, I say go for it! We've been over there a couple of times, but it's been a while. I would say we were on the island maybe 30 minutes, not including the raft ride over and back. I plan to stake out my spot about an hour before the show. Aw, captain of the boat is so sweet! Maybe crowds will be low in the morning and you can get everything in, including the Liberty Boat.

Your first hour plans seem a little tight to me. Unless you are the very first person on line it doesn't seem like you would be able to get through all those rides in an hour. My guess would be 2 of them max especially with how quick 7DMT and Peter Pan lines get to hour long waits.

I would do Peter pan before pooh. I know that will require a tad bit more of criss crossing but I would get to pan as soon as possible after mine train.

I might also save presidents until the very busy afternoon. 10 am the park might still be somewhat manageable, don't waste that much of the morning in presidents do it later. It does seem like you have a lot of the other shows saved for the afternoon, which is smart. Gives you a break and usually you can get into the next showing off all those.
