Ok I've always done brunch at 10:30 as soon as they open. I like to see the tables before the digging in has started. I had the 10:30 on the same day as our group is doing a private tasting at 12:15. I know I will be too stuffed to enjoy the tasting if I keep that time. So looking at other days and times all I can get pre-boarding is a 12:30 slot. I am hoping I can move it upon boarding as I know they hold a lot back until then.

But if I can't will the selection of food be the same later? Do they run out of items?

My other concern is I have early dining and hope its not a menu I love in the MDR that night. I know I should not be stressing over my vacation meals but it is what I do........:confused3

I'm not sure why it would be an issue to have a lot to eat before your tasting, but, 12:30 would be fine for brunch. Yes, they "resupply" any dwindling plates during the whole time. You'd be done there by 2:30 or so, if you opt for the 12:30 slot. That's at least 4 hours before you'd be eating again in the dining room. Or you could bump it out a little, by going to Cabanas (same menu) a little later.

I didn't think it would be an issue either until I did virtually this same timing set up and eating schedule last weekend. I was miserable:(:worried::scared:
That is what led me into checking out different times.

Thank you for your reply!!

IMHO, it is too late. You would be concerned about eating too much for breakfast, but you wouldn't want to fast b/4 brunch. I bet, you will also be full at dinner time, even with late dining.

we've done palo brunch on the dream, magic, and wonder. we always do an afternoon brunch, as we're not big breakfast people and aren't usually hungry until lunchtime. the food selection is constantly being replenished, so i've never seen it looking "picked over" or anything like that. they've never been out of anything i asked for, other than the wonder not having the lasagna entree (which is a wonder thing, not a timing thing - for some reason they don't serve it on the wonder). i actually enjoy it more at lunchtime because the entrees i enjoy most are lunch entrees rather than breakfast entrees - i wouldn't usually eat chicken parm for breakfast, for example, but always get it at our afternoon palo brunch because it's so good.

fwiw, they seem pretty flexible about being able to switch your time once onboard, so i'm betting you will get your 10:30 if you want it. but if not, the food's still good at 12:30. :D

that said, i can see your concern about dinner. we do later seating, and often have a light dinner on palo brunch night because we're still full! you can always request a dinner rotation so that your least favorite restaurant is that night; no guarantee you'll get it, but they usually make it happen.

Palo definitely replenishes items frequently so I don't see that as being an issue. The bigger issue I see, and others have mentioned, is that with a 12:30 brunch you likely won't be hungry for dinner. On my June cruise last year, I had an 11:00am brunch and second seating dinner and I still only managed a few bites of dinner that night.

Probably won'the be any food left. Those 10:30 people are real big eaters, the kitchen won'the be able to keep up :-)
