Hey everyone! I am back from London and soooo tired even though I slept last night.

I wish we had more time there, so much we didn't get to see! Loved the Frida Kahlo exhibit and Stonehenge was AWESOME and being able to go in and touch the stones was the most intense thing.

Went to a midnight Harry Potter party and was 2nd in line at the bookstore we went to (SIL was first) and then I finished the book before she did, even though she read the last four chapters before reading the whole book.

Dee, I cried when I got to the end of HBP. Now I cannot wait for number 7 and 6 only just came out!

Denise, sorry about the job. Good luck to Paul.

I need to go back to sleep. I am only up because my blood sugar was low. Ugh, why didn't I take today off too?

Kat

Good Morning All - Doin' the doc dance for my August cruise to Bermuda!!!!!!!!! I really like sailing out of Baltimore, takes about an hour to get from my house to the pier.

Sue

Morning all.

Welcome home Kat. Glad to hear you had fun.

Hey Sue doesn't it remind you of waiting to open presents when you were a kid? Waiting for docs is like waiting for Santa. :hyper: come on come on come on.

have a great day everybody. off to do house work. :cutie: D

Welcome home, Kat!

I'm home now, too....for a week...then to WDW.

I wish the docs would come for our August cruise. I called today and they don't even have a reservation number for us yet. I'm ticked....I want to make shore excursion ressies. Guess that's what happens when you're the last one signed up for a free "group" cruise.....:headache:

Sorry, gaRry.....not a winner.... guess we have to keep working for our $$$

welcome home Stacey, (for a while that is you brat) ;)

good morning campers. another hot one here today. I know no whining. Its not as hot as Arizona and not as humid as the east coast but "yuk" anyways.

The playroom will be the center of my attentions today. GOODIE :Pinkbounc

Have a great day everybody. Off to earn my living. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Denise

Welcome home Kat and Stacey. I'm jealous of everyone's upcoming trips. We didn't do anything this year. Poor me. Well, we actually spent the money on a new brick patio.

Upper 80's and humid for quite some time now, but it's been a great summer for swimming!

Hope everyone has a good day! :flower:

Judy

I agree Judy. It has been a great summer for swimming. OMG! less than a month until Bonaire! YAY! Sorry, i don't mean to brag, i am just really excited.

Hi Stacey, What ship will you be on? I can't remember, just being nosey.
Sue

That's not nosey!! We are going on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas....Cozumel (if there's anything left to see after Emily), Belize, Costa Maya and Grand Cayman.
The room is really (really!) small, but at least we have a balcony....that's all I cared about. The ship seems pretty big though. I saw a picture of it next to the Wonder...wow... The worst part is flying all the way to Miami....confinement issues, remember?

jEn.....NOT bragging! I would be jumping for joy if I were headed back to Bonaire. I think Jay and I have pretty much decided that's where we will purchase a home or condo. But I did see some great prices for Fiji.......land there is cheap cheap cheap...and can only go UP!

I got a new digital underwater camera. Well its the family's, but i am probably the only one who is going to know how to use it. It's a 5.1 megapixel Sea & Sea. Its awesome! I hope to get some really good pictures so i can share them. hehe. :bounces up and down: 22 more days! and less than that until my birthday. hehe.

I have the SeaLife 35mm underwater w/strobe an all that good stuff. Still kicking myself that I didn't take it on the Mexican Riviera cruise. Don't trust people who say there will be nothing to take pictures of!!

i have that one too. I bought it for myself in '02. But the results of those pictures were like guesswork. You never knew how many good shots you had until the film was developed. I can't wait to use the digital. We got a 1GB memory card for it, and at the lowest resolution, you can take 8879 pictures. I think at the highest it is still in the 1000ands. Fun huh? only having to take one camera for the whole trip. hehe.

Is there a smilie that's blowing raspberries??? :p Close enough.
I'm trying to decide if I want to take it on the Royal Caribbean cruise. That's a lot of junk to haul around .....not so bad if you go to one place and stay there.

Where was everyone today? I did 6 loads of laundry. And a whole bunch of other stuff.
Feels good to get caught up again. Just in time to take off again. I'm starting to sound like Sue. She's never home!! I LOVE IT!

I am still trying to find myslef after getting back from London. It was a great trip. Did a car tour and saw many of the sites. Was not impressed by Picadilly Circus or Trafalgar Square. We took pics of us walking across Abbey Road crossing though. Stonehenge was the most awesome part of the whole trip as far as I am concerned. Just standing in the middle of that circle made me feel so small and insignificant. Wow!

Since I got back I have been doing laundry, working, doing laundry, working...

DH did nothing around the house while I was gone. He had several kids stay over one night and left lots of wet towels and stuff in the bathroom (I think the kids went in the hot tub). Trash cans were overflowing, dirty dishes in the sink. I could go on .... :confused3

I just saw some things on the boards about trip insurance. I always get it on the cruises but didn't realize you have to purchase it within 21 days of making your first payment to have pre-existing conditions covered. I am a diabetic and would want to make sure that was covered but I can't see paying that much for something I haven't paid more than a deposit for at this point! Has anybody already bought trip insurance for the 2006 cruise?

Well, work is calling ...

Kat

we have it . we always get it. Since we come from snowy PA, we get it to make sure that if we get stuck, we won't lose out. And since in '06 i will be a freshman in college, most likely somewhere in CA, its a plus because the family might be flying in from different locations. its always a good thing to have.

My friend is a travel agent, and she has convinced me that having the insurance is a must. I always thought that I didn't need it, because I thought that if I had a cruise booked, I would go...come heck or highwater. Well, I had to cancel our Aug 6 cruise.....kids have to go back to school earlier this year. So that proved me wrong. (again)
You just never know. Even here in Arizona, where we don't have to worry about the snow....we do live on the "wrong" side of a creek that floods, and we have been stuck more than once. Good idea to have the insurance.

And don't even start me on the subject of what happens here when I'm out of town! I have been slooooowly trying to bite my tongue, and make myself believe that the vacation was worth the mess I come home to!

I wasn't questioning getting the insurance. I always do for cruises. My concern was the 21 days after making your first payment due to pre-existing conditions. I am a diabetic so of course I have one and that would mean I have until Sunday to purchase or risk not having it cover anything related to that and that sounds kind of crazy to me. I was planning on getting the insurance, but not until much closer to next December!
