Hi Stacey

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for all your great info about Disneyland. The Fantasmic Dessert Buffet was incredible. We ended up with front row seats and my Mom was so thrilled. Thanks so much for suggesting it.

Also, the Grand Californian was breathtaking. We had a view of Downtown Disney & the California Adventure.

Can't wait to meet you on the cruise.

We did the Fantasmic balcony, too. I think most of the people there were from the Repo cruise. And we sat next to the same people that I spent the night sleeping on the floor next to for those damn pins. <sigh> I just collect the pins I like and buy a bunch from my location (had some NYC Disney pins this time) and trade those. I don't obsess like some people do or even go after pins that are "valuable." I just collect what I like. Actually got started via Odyssey of the Mind, which is what turned Disney onto the concept, but that's a whole other story. Anyway, when you've gotten the first three pins of a series like that, how can you give up the chance to get the whole set without having to worry about it anymore? I figured that late at night that I could probably join the line at 5 or 6 in the morning and still be okay, but I didn't want to risk the chance that I might oversleep. So, it was fun to catch up with them there.

And the Grand Californian was beautiful, but I think my favorite is still AKL at WDW.

We've gotten lucky and had front row on the two times we did the dessert buffet. Jay says he doesn't want to do it again. I think he's afraid he won't get to sit in the front! The big 50-year-old baby!! LOL

We are going to have a fun group on this cruise!! You guys on the Repo cruise weren't the first to sleep in the hall....so don't be embarrassed. Three of the teens (including my DD) slept in the hall on the 1st 10-night. THAT was embarrassing!
I hate to admit it, but I would probably go to any extreme to get something I really wanted.
Well, okay, I wouldn't jump overboard.

Cassie and her parents...We were playing BINGO together (all those cards) on the Christmas cruise during the $9000 payoff....such fun, although none of us won...Such a surprise to see them at DL. I had been running into REPO cruisers right and left but when Cassie's dad came up and said HI. I was so surprised. Then, later, as I was pondering the advisability of subjecting Cash to the ferris wheel Cassie came up and said Hi, then, a few minutes later,...there we all were...

We were discussing the nature and quality of the prizes awarded for DCL talent show participants. The LS couldn't believe her eyes when informed there were no prizes. I think, at the end, she wanted to tackle Stacey over the whole matter by way of the AOL Instant messaging feature.

Thanks Stacey for coming to my rescue. We poor folk rolling through life on circular legs occasionally have our input dismissed as irrelevant or untrue ( LS was the SECOND person on the main board to do that...The first suggested that trip insurance might be less useful to him as he was able-bodied and healthy...) He should have a long talk with Leslie (Disney Pin Diva) who got hurt while just horsing around....

Good morning everyone!

The girls and I are off to the Wild Animal Park AGAIN. They openend their new carousel and we love it. Not as cool as the one in California Adventure but really really close.

I'm mellowing over work . Being old retail I can't sit at a computer all day. I know my limitations. Sitting in a lounge chair all day now thats a different story.

We are going on a road trip next week to Flagstaff. I went to college there and haven't been back in 13 years. Aargh that's hard to say. It will be fun to be out in the forest again.

Hi Bubbles, yes I'm still trying to convince Paul that moving is a good idea. Bend Oergon is calling me and calling me. Maybe the trip to Flag will help.

Denise....how can you possibly come within a couple hours' time of my house, and NOT come see me?? Cave Creek is just a hair south of Flag. My DH went to NAU, btw. But, alas, we are going to be in Vegas next Thursday - Sunday.

I didn't forget about my Fantasy Island Five....just still thinking. For me, that's a tough one. (thinking! ) LOL

I know you asked Lynda so I hope it's okay if I answer. Leslie and a few of the Dis'ers went on a horse riding excursion in Mazatlan and unfortunately the horse Leslie was riding got "spooked" or something and ending up throwing her off into the wet sand. She was unable to put any weight on one of her legs for the last few days of our cruise. She didn't want to go to the Medical Clinic for fear that they would make her get off the ship so Joe got her a wheelchair and some painkillers. She was a trooper.

Thank you, Elaine....of course it's okay for you to answer!! Poor Leslie. My dad fell at Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta...one of their lounge chairs collapsed under him. He really hurt his tailbone, but he didn't want to go to the med center either. And no one with Vallarta Adventures seemed too concerned....

As for the horses in Mazatlan, I have friends who are going to do that in August, and they've asked me if I had found out any info on Randi's Happy Horses. I didn't go to Stone Island, so I didn't see them. I've heard good and bad...what did you hear about them? Or, did you see or do this?? Let me know, so I can tell my friends.
