ROFL :rotfl2: You have to love those Teachers...I call both my son's group of boys "The Rat Pack" They do everything together, including feeding off each other..lol..I am so involved with my kids schools that nothing gets past me...My 7th grader knows that I here from his Teachers everyweek...not about him...but am what is called a "Lead Parent" so I help the Teachers and Dean with everything so instead of meeting at the school all the time we e-mail...and if any problems I know and I also can keep up on his grades and test scores. Helps keep him in line. Luckley all I ever here about is that he is a great student that is a chatter box.
the same at the elementarey school but Michael is not a chatter box.
Deffinatly get that book...it is like my Bible. I have learned so much from it and has helped me chill out,and taght me how to respond to certain situations and they work. A friend told me about it. I have read it over and over and still get things out of it. :thumbsup2

Robin
Definitely have to put it on my list. 16 year old needs a new book for lit, may try to take care of all that this weekend. After all sports events have finished, of course! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good afternoon all!!!

Snow, hail, wind, rain is upon us !!! Why is this last period of time taking so long???

Does anyone have an approximate number of cabins from the DIS boards that are going???

I am wondering because I assume we could put pressies into the stockings??

If someone could please post the numbers that would be great.

Denise

Snow,hail,wind,rain..lions and tigers and bears "O'my".
.. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I'm sending this your way in hopes it goes away and only comes back AFTER your cruise!
We get snow here but we have to drive about 40 minutes up into the mountains. We can spend the day sledding and than return down and no snow. I'ts great. My boys were asking me today if we were going to have snow in the mountains this weekend because we are expecting rain here(down below) but not cold enough yet. We live 20 minutes from the Beach and 40 minutes from the snow...Great country America..lol.
Snow may turn out messy but is sure beautiful when it is coming down :)
I love to pull the boys out of school when they say it is snowing in the mountains and we drive up and play in it as it is falling. We don't get it all winter long so must take advatage of it when it does. We have out snow suits and snow toys pulled out for the winter and are ready to go play when it comes..
Robin

Robin, where do you live that you can do that??? I don't like snow so I'd rather live where I didn't have to deal with it unless I wanted to. Hate driving in it, icy roads, bleah!!!

Where else but Wonderful San Diego California..Great place to live!!! :thumbsup2

Icy roads are bad. We get black ice around here sometimes and I really don't like that.

Looks like I will be able to get off work at noon the day we leave for the cruise so I won't have to feel quite so rushed, yay! I can get home, finish packing without rushing, then pick DD up from school and head for the airport withough feeling like I forgot something! I put in several hours working on a load for a client last night and we aren't getting overtime but my supervisor is giving us comp time at a rate of time and a half so he says I have 4 1/2 hours right now that I can use whenever I want, including in December! I like my new boss :)

i told my parents that if it was forcasted to snow in any of the cities we fly to, then i was just going to drive down..lol..i'm in NC, they are in PA, and we are both going to FL..so i'm half way there

Found this Artical to be very interesting...if you read the last 2 paragraghs it talks aoiut the 3rd disney ship...possible 3rd in California..interesting :)
http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al100306a.htm

Now that would be convenient for you, wouldn't it. Personally, I'd like the new ship to make it's home in NYC, or better yet - Boston :thumbsup2 . But, no bias here :teeth: .

No snow here yet, although it has dropped 30 degrees in temp since the middle of this week. Last Monday it reached 82 - this morn it is 38.

Up-State NY got slammed with snow. Since the trees were still all covered in leaves, ALOT came down they said. We've had storms like that in May, but never Oct.

Yeah, it's cold here again today today. Working on door magnets this morning.

What did we ever decide about shirts. Are we just going to do the iron-ons ourselves or are we going to look at someplace like cafepress to do the backs and do the little one on front ourselves? I have shirts for DD and myself I can use, just need to get the iron-on sheets and I could do ours. I have to go run errands today anyway so thought I'd see what anyone's thoughts were.

Good morning all! :surfweb:

We're getting some colder weather here too, but nothing like snow. We don't get much--and when we do, everything shuts down until it melts off of the streets. They don't have a lot of snow removal equipment!

I remember the Southern California thing--beach one way, snow the other. I lived there as a kid, my dad was in the Navy. :sail:

I had the feeling a lot of folks were interested in the shirts, just never got a decision made. I think we even heard from some of the people who don't post often that they liked the idea. What was the idea about the cafe something store?

Morning all,

Kat did my last PM scare you off? :teeth:

I put a mockup of the tees on my cafepress store (http://www.cafepress.com/deesfunstuff). As you can see, ash gray (and white, which I didn't try, but can) will work fine. The yellow and green don't look so hot with Jen's excellent design. I think the colors clash. The mint works nice, though!

Jen, if we decide to go with CafePress, I'lll need a high-res jpeg from you of the back (I used the jpeg you posted here to do the mockup).

I think they look great. Someone may have other ideas, but if not they work for me! :thumbsup2

Would everyone just order the quantity/style/size/color that they want or would the group make a decision and all do the same thing?

Dee, no, I just had to get going to work!

The ship on the green? ewwww. Maybe it's just their picture of the shirt but it makes the ship and the sky look green too. I can't wear that green anyway so it definitely wouldn't be my choice! What about the custom women's t-shirt? That is the style I'd want. The junior's sizes are too small and I prefer the slightly more fitted women's shirts to the standard men's shirts. If we could add that one in the white I'd be cool with that.

that looks awesome dee! just not the green...green and ships aren't good (you know people say i feel green (sick) on boats?) lol

I added the women's Tees. I can also add kids, but let's first figure out if we want each to have a choice of colors / styles or just have a couple of colors / styles available.

Good point about the green....might make everyone feel a little that way!

The ladies' looks good... :thumbsup2

As far as how many choices I'm so excited about this that I'll do whatever. :worship: I liked the ringer thing for the regular shirt (just thought the blue added a nice touch) but would be OK with plain white or gray. The other colors, not so much.

Off to a day of spectatorship--Lacrosse and two tennis matches. It should be reasonably warm this afternoon--chilly this morning! I"ll go with the group on any shirt decision!

The ladies is only available in white or pink, I believe. I am happy to go with the ladies' white, the ringer for those who want that, and the plain white. When I look at sizes on the plain white T-shirt it comes up with kid's sizes available and adults through 3x (which is good if DH decides he wants one because I will need a 3x for him). So that works for me if Jen can get them the high-res jpeg file. So we have that design on the back and then we would use Jen's Mickey at the wheel to make a smaller iron-on to put on the left front of the shirt, yes? Works for me. What about putting our DIS names on them for those of us with DIS names? Is that a good idea or a bad idea? If we are already making iron-ons for Mickey we could do one on the same sheet with the DIS name(s) (I have the "formula" for something close to DIS green in Adobe photoshop) and we could use the Walt Disney font and put it on the back under Jen's design maybe? Just a thought.....
