Today we had tickets to the MVMCP. Our plan was to go to the MK at 3:00 (I had heard we could get in at 3:00 with our MVMCP tickets but later discovered this was incorrect). We weren't going to use our park hoppers today. So we started the day at Downtown Disney. Shopped for a while and had lunch at McD's. Prices higher than at home, but still probably the cheapest food at WDW. Cost was about $15 for the 4 of us. I got 1 Happy Meal for my girls to share and they were going to share a drink. I was at the drink area and a CM there (grandma-aged woman) saw what I was doing and insisted they each had to have their own cup, so she went and got another one. Very nice of her. After lunch we shopped a little more and then headed back to the room to rest for a while. Headed to MK about 3:15 and then realized that it was 4:00 that you could get in with MVMCP tickets. We actually had to stand there at the turnstiles for 45 minutes. Got in and went to fantasyland. Dh, and dd's rode Mad Tea Party (I don't like this ride and won't ride it...makes me nauseous). By this ride we saw Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, The White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter. Then we headed to ToonTown and rode Barnstormer. Wait was about 10 minutes. Then back to Fantasyland for IASW and Snow White. We also rode HM and Aladdin at some point before heading to Tomorrowland. At this point the park was closing and MVMCP people were being ushered to Tomrorowland. But we got there before everyone else, went to Cosmic Ray's and got dinner. Shortly after we sat down, everyone else came in and it was packed. Finished eating and headed out. Dh and dd1 went to ride Space Mt and dd2 and I rode Buzz Lightyear. Neither of us had a wait. It had been sprinkling off and on since shortly after we got to MK. I was beginning to get depressed. We had been to MVMCP one other time, in 1997, and it rained that night too. No parade or snow on main street that time either. Very disappointing. So I was beginning to worry it was going to happen again. After Buzz Lightyear it started raining harder. DD2 and I ducked under the covered area near BL. She fell asleep in the stroller. So dh and dd1 rode Space MT again...and again...and again...and again. I think they rode it a total of about 6 times that night while dd2 and I sat under the covered area and I felt really sorry for myself. I heard someone say that the first parade had already been cancelled. The Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas show started and then stopped after a few minutes with an announcement they were cancelling it due to the weather. At this point I was in tears....no MVMCP for me this year. Thunder and lightning started, so we decided to leave. Got our card from City Hall to get our refund. The only saving grace of the night was getting my MVMCP pin. I wanted to see the snow on main street, the shows and the parade so badly. Maybe another time. Back to the hotel to dry off and sleep. Oh...while dd2 and I were waiting for dh and dd1, we went into one of the shops there in Tomorrowland. DD2 was a little grouchy. A CM there asked her what was wrong and she wouldn't talk or smile. He said he knew he could get her to smile. He asked her if she liked any of the pins on his lanyard. She still wouldn't talk. So he said, "Do you like this one?" She shook her head. Did this a few times until she nodded yes. So he took the pin off and gave it to her. She smiled. He said, "I knew I could get you to smile!" Very sweet!!

I had friends that got rained out on other nights - thanks for posting!
