12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Just have to let you know some good news. My cousin, her extended family and I were on the waitlist for either BWV and BCV. We currently have 1 2-bedroom and 1 studio reserved. DVC member services called and said my studio came open at the BCV...... It will be slightly inconvenient being separated from the rest of my group, but nice to be so close to MGM and Epcot....plus I gotta be close to ESPN to keep up on hockey and football.

Boy, you didn't waste any time updating the boards on your new accommodations status... hee hee hee. :rotfl2:

Fingers crossed that our 2-bedroom comes available as well at BCV or BWV!

Cristi,

Where abouts are you near Denver? We are down in the Springs and we got maybe an inch of snow but it didn't stay on the roads thanks to the warm weather before the big "snow storm" :) Maybe this year it won't snow for Hallowe'en :sunny: Nice weather please :)

Take care,

Deidre and Dwight

57 days and we'll be at the Poly!! Whoo hoo!!

They issued our permit for the pool yesterday!!!! I am still not counting on it to get done before the end of the year though...we signed the contract in June!! I can't wait!!

Lisa - the princess pin - it is supposed to be "Katie"? Is that what DD goes by? I'll be on the lookout at DTD and be sure to pick one up for you.

Anyone need anything from WDW? I'd be happy to pick things up!

Vanessa, yes the pin says Katie. They didn't have Kaitlyn when we were there last year. There are so many spellings of it anyhow. Katie is what her daddy calls her. :) THANKS AGAIN!!! :)

Hi -- Did someone mention that they have had their Christmas photo cards printed onboard the ship? If so, could you possibly post one so that I can see what they look like and if you recall the cost I'd be very interested in knowing. Thanks! :flower:

Did anyone else get Palo reservations? They went like hot cakes. Does anyone know if they hold any reservations for boarding day? My parents didn't get a reservation yet.

Thanks,

Deidre

We live in Littleton. Close to Coal Mine and Pierce. Now we have three families from Colorado on this cruise. Littleton Linda and her family are going also. The kids and I met up with her and her kids the other night so the boys could get to know each other. They really seemed to hit it off. Jacob says that he misses Jack already. :) We didn't get much snow at our house either. It didn't really even cover the grass. I am hoping for nice weather on Halloween too. It has been so yucky for the past two years. We will be driving back from Albuquerque that day too so I really don't want any snow.

They do keep some Palo reservations open for boarding day. I would think you would need to board early and get those quick. When are you flying in?

Maggie, I know there was a thread awhile back about the Christmas cards on the ship. Someone had posted theirs and the prices seemed reasonable. I was thinking about doing mine on the ship. I will see if I can find the thread and post it for you.

Here is the thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=880137&highlight=christmas

That's great that you guys have met already. :) This is such a great site so people can ask questions and meet people. I hope you have a nice trip to Albuquerque and a safe trip back.

For Hallowe'en my oldest daughter wants to be a pirate, planning ahead for the cruise and my youngest is being a fairy from "Barbie Fairytopia". I'll probably pick up another pirate costume for my youngest for the cruise, it's only $9 at Wal-Mart.

I made my Palo reservations as early as possible on the day we could start reserving. By the end of the day I found out Dad was having emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder. By the time I spoke to my Mom to get her confirmation number Palo was booked solid. :confused3 Oh well, with luck they can still get a seat or they can join us. My hubby isn't pleased with that idea :) He's taking it in stride, a trip with the in-laws. :)

We are flying in December 2nd and spending 7 days in WDW, my parents and sister fly in on the 4th. We're renting a van and driving to Port early Saturday. Problem with my hubby and Dad being military, they're planning on leaving the World at the butt crack of dawn (sorry, new favourite saying :) ), so we should be there early. My sister is 14 years old so with luck I can get her to this site and she can start meeting any teens who are going. When are you guys flying in?

Take care and have a great day,

Deidre

My DD is 14 also & she has been wanting to meet someone her age. She will be thrilled to know your sister is going my DD's name is Jennifer.
We will fly in on the 9th but it will be around 10:30 at night. I wanted DD to go to school that day.
Cristi thank you for that thread. I think this year we will get our x-mas cards from the cruise. The price is right! :rotfl:

Good night Disney Di :wave2:

Hi there :)

I am so glad to see another teenager my sisters age is going. I saw one of the older posts that has something about a more detailed website for our cruiser. I am planning on sending info on my parents and us and sister but right now I am waiting for my sister, Amanda, to pick a picture she won't kill me over for posting :goodvibes Girls :)

My parents are flying in from New Brunswick on the 4th to join us in WDW so the grumpy travelling mood should be gone by then :) I was hoping Amanda could meet someone before the cruise who she can get to know and chat with. I'm not worried about my kids, young kids will play with everyone and have a new best friend in minutes but teenagers are a completely different animal :)

Anyway, it was great to hear the Jennifer will be on the cruise too, I'll let Amanda know.

Take care and have a great day,

Deidre

I had to dig us off page two!

Ok - 10/14!! This month is flying by! Two weeks from today I will be sleeping in at Disney!! Yippee!!

What is everyone doing this weekend? The Gators are away at LSU so we'll be watching it on TV tomorrow and then I am working Sunday. DH got a huge yard waste dumpster delivered and we have to cut down another ficus tree this weekend. Well, ok, not we, he. Ahhh the joys of getting a pool. We did get to pick out our tile and they also had some cute mosaics and of course on the front page was a huge Gator...so DH wants that but I really do not think we should permantly put that in the pool...I mean we have the stained glass windows which are removable should we sell/move. So I think I have him convinced...there are some cute sea turtles...a mermaid....a bathing suit...shells etc that would be much cuter!! So now we just have to decide on that. Funny I thought the pool would be done by Halloween....now I am just hoping it will be done by Haley's first birthday in Feb so we can have a luau outside. Not too sure if it will be though and I feel so sorry for our neighbors, our yard is a huge disaster!

We are going to Legoland.

Just been shopping for new clothes for our hols, will have to do some more!

Thanks for the link in the email, it is great to see everyone, I think the meets are a great idea.

By the way where do you get the countdown tickers I really want one.

Kirsty

Not doing anything out the ordinary....church, watching alot of football...and oh yeah, going to an engagement party in San Diego( a 2 hour drive)

Since my cousin has been so busy with her new baby, no ressies were made in advance. So we are discussing our game plan for embarkation day for Palo, spa and possibly and excursion or 2.

Just as an fyi, the official Disney Cruise website was still showing availability in every category 4-12 as of last night.

yes - I noticed this and I am hoping FL resident discounts come out because of that....I mean (not to sound greedy) we are paid in full but if we got a discount I could use that for spending $$ or to put more away on next year's cruise!! :)

It's 1:30am and I am watching the Ducks vs Blue Jackets game I Tivo'd. Angels lost..what can you do...

LISA, thanks so much for updating the site. I am glad my cousin got her info to you. Wow..our group is getting larger and larger.

Lillygator, I hope you get your discount. One of my bartender friends from the ESPN Club says the beginning of December is a period when WDW offers Cast Members discounted prices for travelling. So it may not be out of the realm of possibility that they would offer discounts for FL residents. I saw somewhere(maybe this site) that they are already offering discounts for mid-November to mid-December on the Magic(except for the Thanksgiving sail).
