12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

ROFLMAO!!!! I am going to have to tell Mike to read this thread tomorrow before he heads out to CA. Your teams must not be doing that well this weekend. :( GO HOKIES!!!! 6-0 #3!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Buckeyes lost :sad2:

We have only one bright spot left to watch - Amy and I went to the same HS, that is a perennial power in football in Ohio - Canton McKinley HS. They are still undefeated, and will have a big showdown at the end of the month with arch rival the Massillon Tigers.

It might be hard to believe, but there will be 22,000 people at that HS football game, one of the oldest HS football traditions in America - over 100 years old. Massillon is the original home and first coaching job of the legendary Paul Brown. Canton is home of the Pro Football HOF, and Mck was State and National Champs in 1996, state champs in 1997. It is a HUGE rivalry that has festivities all week.

The way things have gone for my teams, I would not bet on McK.

And our USC Trojans are still undefeated and, I assume, still #1! FIGHT ON!! Got to love these years.

Hi,

I would love to be linked for dinning, but am waitlisted for early seating so will have to wait and see when we get there if anyone else fromhere will be with us.

We are on deck 6,

There has been some discussion of getting room upgrades, how does this work? We have interconnecting rooms too.

Anyoneelse going from the UK or with twins?

Kirsty

There is always alot of talk & speculation about room upgrades. Basically it is something that happens for no understood reason so just book what you want & be happy if you get an upgrade. We were upgraded from an 11 to an 8 on our first cruise. I found out when I made the final payment & saw an even number stateroom on our receipt. I broke down right then & there in the office. LOL! DCL knew what they were doing though. We wont book below a 10 now. There is a difference in space between a 10 & an 11...and we need it for the four of us. We were in a 10 last time...no upgrade. No upgrade so far for this cruise...but we are treating ourselves with an 8.

Forgot to note that noone from the UK or with twins has sent me their info for the website...before you that is. :)

Sometimes you can upgrade at the port if there are staterooms available. The cost is very minimal. We upgraded at the port from an 11 to a 9 for $600 for a 10 day cruise. Would have be much more $300 each to book that category. Often there are none available, but I have checked this cruise and as of today there are rooms available in cat 4-12, so if that is something you would be interested in you might give it a try. You have to get to the port early (10-10:30) and go directly to the far end of the counter on your left. That is where the supervisors are that can help you with this. We are in an 11 ths trip also and may check into it again. We have sailed 6 times and never had a verhandah. But, we are very afraid! :scared1: If we have a verhandah one time will we ever be satisfied with inside stateroom again? The cat 9 did not spoil it for us, but ......

Thanks for the info.

We are in a cat 7 with a navigators verander (sp?)

first time cruising but am so excited that I am sure we will do again and again.

Kirsty

Yeah Broncos! We just won, it was a close one too. Whew.....

Browns won too!

Can't say we love the Broncos too much - you guys and Elway killed us in the 90's . . .

Amy and I were at the game, but I can tell you it was one BOOORING game until the 4th quarter.

Angie, until our last cruise, we had ALWAYS had a verandah . . . We finally decided that we would like to cruise more often instead of having the verandah. We did not miss it as much as I thought we would, and actually really liked having the large porthole in our cabin.

Of course, if we get upgraded we will not complain :teeth:

Bucs lost - Raiders were on a bye and my fantasy team lost...:(

but hey the Gators won so all is right with the world.

10/10 - DD, Haley is 8 months old today and we are 2 months away from sailing and meeting everyone!! :)

We leave for WDW in 16 days! I can't wait!!

I am bummed the bucs lost.....did horrible in my football pool this week....Can't believe the cruise is 2 months from today..............

Darci, It did snow today. We barely got any at my house, but closer to where I work they got a few inches and it was really heavy and wet. There were lots of tree branches broken off.

1 month from today Rachel turns 10 (the big double digits)

2 months from today we are cruising and it is MY birthday (I am not telling how old though :rotfl: )

I got my pirate night costume today. I ended up getting a Village Wench costume. They also had the Tavern Wench, but it was $34 and the Village Wench was on clearance for 9.99. :cool1: I ordered Brad's shirt off of Kohl's website (the black leather lace up). I went to Goodwill today and bought him an old pair of black jeans. I think I will cut them off about mid-shin and then make them raggedy. So now we are all set for pirate night. Rachel is going to be a pirate for Halloween this year. Jacob was a Pirate last year and his costume still fits him pretty well.

Now I just need to get DD's formal dress altered, order DH tux and find a tux for DS(from Ebay). And hopefully the formal that I bought for myself will still fit.

In two months we will getting ready for formal night.
