12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Wow -- cutie pies! Great pics!

We get our school pics back in a couple of weeks -- I'm just hoping for open eyes and natural smiles. When it comes to professional pics my kids do that overly intense smile with every tooth showing -- and eyes almost shut type of smile --- it looks as if they've just sat on a tack!

Just figured out how to add a pic to my signature line... here are my kiddos...

Cristi - what great pics - they look so grown up compared to your signature pic!

Ladies - do you all have your outfits for formal and semiformal night? I am going to try some dresses on this weekend which have been hanging in the closet but don't know if they fit post baby! I got my pirate costume in the mail yesterday and it is snug!! :(

Vanessa, I picked up two dresses with the fashion bug 10 off 10 deal a few months ago. The one that I wore the last two years just doesn't work anymore. :( It is time for a new dress in our pictures anyhow. I haven't decided which one I will wear for formal, but the other one will be for semiformal.

That's funny - I was saying to DH that he and I need new clothes - all our Disney pics regardless of different vacations he and I are wearing our same vacation clothes!
I'll probably try them on this weekend and hopefully they fit!

I bought a formal dress last year after Christmas on clearance (only ended up spending about $28 of my money). I tried it on the other day and it is a little snug too. I am not going to panic yet, I have been going back to the gym since school has started, so hopefully some of the snugness will go away. I was talking to my mom the other night about the dress being snug and she reminded me of a dress that she wore on formal night when she went on a cruise a few years ago. She still has it and it is really pretty. She thinks it would probably fit me too. So, I have that as a back up for formal night and if I don't need it then I will probably wear it for semi-formal night.

Welcome, Maggie! We are on deck 7 aft also. Sounds like we are going to have good neighbors. :grouphug:

We have a teenage grandson that would LOVE to be on this cruise with us. Unfortunately he is a sophmore in HS now and we are not comfortable taking him out of school so near the end of the term now. :teacher: We used to do that (we took him and his brother on 2 cruises with us) when he was in lower grades, but once he hit high school we have not. He is sad. :sad2:

I plan to wear the dresses I already have. I did not loose the weight I planned this year :guilty: However, I also have not gained any :) so the dresses will still fit. We will rent tux for DH so I won't have to worry about anything for him. With the 2 shirts for tux and one sport coat for Palo he will be fine. I hate that the airlines are so strict about luggage weight now.

Ok, OK . . . I go into hiding after the Indians lose for a few days, and all the talk is about formal dresses and how clothes fit. I am NOT repeat NOT going to wear a dress on formal night! (at least not this year) :)

Looks like we need a dose of testosterone in these discussions again - Jordan my man, where are you???

Ohio State / Penn State this Saturday, Browns and Bears this Sunday - baseball playoffs (even without the Indians I can boo the Yankees) in the mix.

And, we are oh so very soon to be just about 60 days away from this awesome cruise - can you believe it???? :bounce:

John

John, I guess DH wont feel out of place at the table then since he refuses to discuss the idea of a dress either. :rotfl: Fundraiser is over...great results...and carnival is in full swing. I am dreaming about being in outer space with all of the space stuff I am working on. LOL!

John,

Hockey season started Wednesday...DirecTV has free preview of Center Ice and I have been watching hockey pretty much non-stop...well...took a break to make my football picks...I am taking Cleveland over Chicago.....

Yeah - the Lightning the first game! They play again tonight at 7:30!!

We'll be going to Gainesville tomorrow...hope the Gators can come back and win this one! Gator Nation will not be happy with Urban if he doesn't step it up the rest of the season.

Are the adults dressing up for Pirate night? --- or just the kids? How elaborate are you getting? pirate:

Also wanted to let the guys know that my DH is a bigtime hockey fan --- well as big a fan as you can be in the middle of the desert! The only hockey we can get on cable is thru OLN network --- so that's not much -- but obviously better than last year! We are also big-time college basketball fans --- GO Arizona!!! :paw:

Maggie~ A lot of us adults are dressing up for pirate night. DH wants me to get a tavern wench costume. He will be dressing up also, probably in a black pirate looking shirt and some raggedy jeans. pirate:

I already have my tavern wench from last Dec. DH will be wearing something pirate also. Have not decided if we will buy on just rent again for him. We are old, but kids at heart. AAARRRRR! pirate:

Hey John, if you change your mind and decide to go with a nice new dress for formal night, there are some good bargains at Fashion Bug... :rotfl2:

We are going on the cruise with Me DH and 4 children ages 11, 8, 4 & 4

We are from the UK and arrive Wednesday 7th December.

Hope to see anyone from this site soon.

Kirsty
