I got library duty at DD's school this morning. I love volunteering in the library. I don't know most of the children in her class this year and checking their books in and out and helping at that time is the best way to meet them. It's a bummer that you don't get to be in the classroom a lot in 1st grade, but I'll take what I can get in any manner 'cause the kids are so neat.

That sounds nice.

Anytime I mention the Mickeyboat to Dina she says "What's that boys name again??" I tell her William. Now she adds "And Jacob will be there too!!"

DD8 and I worked on a gingerbread Halloween House on Sunday. She really did most of the work (I'm such a controlling mom on crafts... I want to take over, but I was good this time!). Here are some photos:

I miss going in the classroom every week. I got to do this in Sarah's kindergarden, 1st and 4th grade classes and Amanda's pre-school. It all depends on the teacher and how they utilize parents. I do get to go in for parties though, but it is not the same as the weekly things. I love it when the kids know who I am if I see them somewhere!

we were actually flocked by flamingo. It was a fund raisder for our local high school softball team. they also offered "flocking insurance" so that you could avoid ever being flocked again. DD was very embarassed by it. The person who arranged the flocking said they had a heck of a time doing our house because every time they would pull up out front, my two dogs would bark at them. the girls ended up having to climb out the windows to avoid upsetting the dogs.

One of the chruches in our area do that flamingo flocking!!! It is a riot.

Ha, ha, ha. Remember it is still Ramadan and no hanky-panky during daylight hours!

I actually had to follow him to the mechanic so he could drop off one of the delivery cars.

Thanks guys! You made her happy! I'm still only semi-crafty; it was a kit, so I didn't have to bake and cut the gingerbread pieces (just assemble) but she didn't copy the suggested designs-that was her own plan.

I've never tried WW but that seems odd that they don't give it at least 1 point per serving.

If you ate the whole serving it would be one...but if you just eat one gobstopper it would be free.
