Great job!!! Jason and I recommitted ourselves to WW!!! We are looking at the chain count down and seeing how close the cruise really is we are looking forward to some weight loss. I am currently at 22 points for the day...I have 3 left....

Our office has started a WW meeting. DW and I joined. The first one is tomorrow at lunch time. I hope to lose enough to fit into my tux before the cruise (about 20 pounds).

one of our local news stations has had round the clock live coverage. It is so sickening. I have it turned off now, I don't want Jake to see it.

I sat down with DS tonight and talked to him about what to do if he is ever in that situation. I told him that even if he is scared he can pray and God will help him find peace. We were both crying by the time I answered his questions. I felt better after we talked though. I hate feeling the need to talk to him about this.

My DS said the funniest thing tonight. When the Eagles game was starting I was chanting "E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles Eagles Eagles." He started to chant "QRSTUVWXYZ AND M GO EAGLES!!!!" He was so cute! He was doing it over and over. My DH and I were laughing our butts off at him. He was very enthusiastic.

John and I had a talk about this tonight. What do you tell them? If it were me I would want to do what the person said but then again absolutely not, how dare they do that? Such a horrible horrible situation.

I am doing a WW@Work program and it is convenient since it is just over lunch on Monday. We weigh-in and then eat our lunch during the meeting. We also can attend any other local WW meetings that we would like.

I understand where you are coming from. Jake is still to little to understand this type of thing. He is only 3. If he were in "real" school (not preschool) and your son's age I would talk to him as well.

Another sad day for humanity! Killing innocent children is another low.

All of what is happen in this world is designed to instill fear in us. Fear to live normally. It is wrong to have to live in fear.

One of my favorite books is Dune by Frank Herbert. I read it many years ago and in the first book was a litany about fear. I have used it for myself many times.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Four public school campuses were locked down Monday while police searched for a teenager who was spotted at a high school with a gun, authorities said.

No shots were fired, and police said they had no indication the teen — a former student who had been banned from Mojave High School — had threatened anyone.

Police gave up their search of a residential area in suburban North Las Vegas after more than three hours.

“We know who he is,” North Las Vegas police spokesman Tim Bedwell said. “He will be found eventually.”

Bedwell would not disclose the teen’s name or age, but said he believed the youth had been expelled or transferred from the high school for academic or disciplinary reasons.

The teen ran from the Mojave High campus when school police recognized him and confronted him about 7 a.m., authorities said. School police reported finding a .25-caliber handgun behind a nearby church.

About 2,300 students at the high school and 2,900 youngsters at two nearby elementary schools and a middle school were locked down during the police search of a square-mile residential area. The security measure meant students were kept in rooms while instruction continued, said David Sheehan, a school district spokesman.

The Clark County School District, with about 300,000 students and 325 schools, is the fifth-largest district in the nation.

Bedwell said the teen could face charges including trespassing, possession of a handgun by a minor and possession of a weapon on school property, a felony.

School districts across the country have been especially sensitive to threats after deadly shootings last week at schools in Wisconsin and Colorado, and then another on Monday in Pennsylvania’s Amish country.

On Friday, a school principal was gunned down in Cazenovia, Wis., and a 15-year-old student was charged with murder. Just two days earlier, an adult gunman held six girls hostage in a school at Bailey, Colo., before killing a 16-year-old girl and then himself.
