Morning, Everyone!!

I'm still here and enjoying all the posts, but I'm feeling guilty that I'm not posting much because I'm having a hard time keeping up with the posts!! LOL (and also being new, not 'knowing' everyone, I feel like I'm crashing a party). We were away for the weekend (took the jeep up to Paragon, PA :drive: with some other jeepers) and there were like 80 pages of posts to catch up on! I have been skipping around reading, but still haven't caught them all. Sorry!!

Anyway...wanted to pipe in...another band geek here! Marching, Pep, Concert, State, etc...flute/piccolo and one year also got to play the bells during the drum feature. LOVED band and band CAMP!!!! :bounce:

All the banana talk is cracking me up.

I've been showing my son (Kendell age 7) some of the new friends he'll meet on the cruise. He will be the youngest of our group and the only one in that age group in the kids club. I don't know if they would let him move up with the other kids because he won't be 8 until 4 months after the cruise. Maybe some of us with boys that age could email and he would be more comfortable about it (new experiences are sometimes hard for him if he's 'alone').

I was thinking that we would skip Palo - but everyone is making me think we should reconsider. Should I try to get a dinner ressie? or brunch? This is our 1st DCL cruise. :confused3 Thanks for advice.

DisneyVegas1 - can you tell me more about your jeep :drive: excursion on Cozumel? All of us in our group are 'jeepers'. We looked at the DCL excursion, but the age limit is 10+ for the kids, and many of the kids are 7-9.

Lisa - when is the ruins tour leaving on Costa Maya?

Snorkeling - should we plan to do this on CC days?

:thanks:
Diana

Its actually not a Jeep excursion per say - we know the Island very well , and when we cruise to the island we rent a jeep for a day and go around the island and stop at various places and enjoy the scenery ....Most people dont venture to the east side of the island , and there is miles and miles of quite beaches and very nice places to hang out and have a cold one ..

So...IOW...Todd might be leading a group of DISers on a tour of the island in jeeps that they have rented. ;)

Todd - what is this jeep and drink around the island thing?

Hmmm , now this is a tricky one ..lol It all started at Disney World at epcot , we started "Beers around the World" went to each country and had a beer , by the time you make it around epcot its much more enjoyable :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So in June when we were on the Magic and stopped in Coz and since it was a short day we decided to do "Margaritas around the Island" which turned into a couple shots here and there ...We rented a Jeep and started at Playa del Corona and worked are way through Rastas , Coconuts and a couple little places along the way ending up having a final stop at Casa Denis Downtown in the Square having a late lunch with friends on the island ...We had a blast , as we always do - Always a great time in Coz never had a bad time ..
And thats what we plan to do when we get there in Dec ...we will actually be in Coz in like 10 days for some serious diving , Adult only trip no kids ...Yeah

Okay , but there may be a nominal fee :rotfl2: :rotfl2: - But , yeah if all you Cozumel haters want to really see the island I would be more then happy to show you around .."drinking and eating at your own pace"

Todds Cozumel Jeep tour is in no way responsible for your safe happy return - no refunds - and you must smile and have a great time , no whiners allowed unless your a whino- dancing bananas will appear more and more as the day progresses , again we are not responsible.....

Ok - I wonder how many cabins DCL will let go unmanned before they will offer the Fl resident discount. I personally think with the early booking discounts most people book earlier rather than last minute for DCL...can you guys tell I am hoping for that discount that bypassed me last year??!!! Extra spending money would be great!! $$

It's probably been posted but seeing how fast this thread moves...what is the cost for a jeep rental? And are they just there off the dock or do you arrange prior to?

Hey Dodi! Are you going to link dining with us in late seating? :confused3 We are the "fun" kids. Or was that the "kool" kids? :teeth:

I'm still working on DH on that one. He wants to do Palo on sunday night and the only menu he's willing to miss is Lumiere's so we need the PLA rotation. I think Lisa said 2nd dining was getting the APL rotation?

Sounds like a great time! Unfortunately it does not sound like the kind of tour to take a 1 and 4 year old on! ;)

Today at work has been just a nightmare! It has been quite a few months since I had a day this bad. I am so stressed and I am so glad we have this cruise planned. On days like today that is the only thing that keeps me going. Can someone remind me again how many more days?

:grouphug: :grouphug: BECKA :grouphug: :grouphug:

Sorry you are having such a bad day. It seems that this is turning into a bad week for everyone. Must be the heat! :wizard: your way. :woohoo:

129 days 11 hours 3 minutes 27 seconds!!!

Well, the hours & stuff are off due to DST but once we switch back it will be OK. ;) That is also until 12:01 am 12/9/06 so let's plan on starting boarding at 11:30 am......

129 days 22 hours 33 minutes :)

When I see the countdown I get depressed. Seems soooo far away. But in 25 days I get to book my ressies. :cheer2: :cloud9: (Got the REAS package).

I hope your day starts to improve Becka. :grouphug:

Thanks Lisa!

On the upside I was just on the main board and read the post about Palo looking like Denny's! :lmao: At least my brain is not that far gone..... :rotfl2: Maybe our dear friend Elphie feels the same way and that is why she thinks it is OK to wear jeans to formal night. :teeth:

Becka - will you be getting a pack and play for your DD to sleep in or will she be on the bed?

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I haven't seen Palo yet but I couldn't believe that person referred to it as being like Denny's. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I think we are going to have her sleep on the bed and give DS the top bunk. Hopefully that will not cause any problems. DD is on the verge of giving up her crib now so I imagine by the time we cruise she will be used to a bed. Those big Graco mesh bedrails should work great. :)

My bigger concern is DS. It makes me nervous to have him up on the top but I am sure he will be fine and I know he will love it! :lovestruc

Good to know, I will cross that off my cheat sheet and put in PJ. I was just teasing about the blood....

Kim

Kim - the cheat sheet is a great idea!
I've actually keeping 2 windows open - this one, and the other board on the manifest page - so I can go back and forth to see who's who!
