ok here's a new res ?, can I have the TA get me a cabin, let me know the pricing info and then give the transfer reservation? I don't know what my hang up is. I think I just better give her the info now.

No, because they have to have the reservation number for it to transfer. If they get a new resie without the OB one, there will be 2 different resies that cannot be combined.

I have a question. What if they aren't offering any discounts or OBC for the cruise? That was the case last time if I recall correctly. This was why I didn't book a date to transfer for the Med onboard last January. Any way, if I change my current ressie, with the discount ond OBC to this one, and they don't honor it, I guess I would lose it? :confused3 I am guessing all I can do is ask when I book, but what if they don't know? :upsidedow

Here is what the DU agent sent me in an email after I gave her my "onboard" (not online) booking . . .

"This is the cruise you need to transfer to us so when 2008 cruises are released; I can modify this cruise so you can keep the ship board credit you received for booking online. You also received a 10% discount on the cruise you booked online, we are not sure if this will be transferable to the 2008 but it’s worth a try."

huh? you booked one online? So either we keep the credit or not?

John and anyone else letting DU book for them, are you requesting a specific cabin?

V, he said not online. Last time DCL allowed both the OBC & discount to be transferred if you modify an existing reservation. The problem happened because the TAs called & secured quotes without the existing resie info &/or things went too quickly to give all the info with the booking frenzie so those reservations were NEW and not MODIFIED. Those NEW resies were not allowed to have the OBC & 10% transfered to combine the two resies. It is explained more here along with what DU did to make this up to their customers.

no, No, NO . . . not online . . . ONBOARD I think she was confusing online and onboard. At this time I am requesting a Cat 8 . . . I may change that, but am still thinking about it - will also request Deck 7, but haven't gotten to that point yet!

ok guys, I am about to leave for my interview. I am quite a bit more nervous than I expected. Hopefully I will knock their socks off, if not, well, I guess I still have my current job.

Thinking about you right now V!

:yay: :yay: Good! It seemed like everyone was bailing for the PC cruises. Glad to see you are doing both too!

Kim hasn't posted in a couple days but she said that she would be on this one too, along with Brack.

My mom just called me. We just had property reevaluations and got our proposed taxes for the year. Here is an article from a recent town meeting. The picture is my dad.:goodvibes

Mind you, my dad lives right on the water and has two houses and two one and a half car garages on his property. Up until the reval, my house had the same assesed value as his, hence our taxes were about the same. I was one of the lucky ones. My proposed new taxes are almost $1000 less than last year.:yay: His are almost $2000 more.

This is the type of thing that got measures on both California and Oregon ballots to stop this foolishness. After the voters passed the measures in both states (CA way back in the 80's, Oregon in the 90's) the politicians are crying foul, but the retired folks are still in their homes. Of course during the elections in both states there were the typical scare tactics that there would be no police officers, no firemen, no services, no schools. All of those things still exist. California's created a sort of progressive tax system. When the house sold it was re-assessed at the new price. Folks said this was unfair because people who stayed in their homes paid less but those just moving in pay more. It did save the old folks though and young families knew what they would be paying in a new home and bought accordingly then their taxes remained relatively the same with some inflation allowed.

Well I made it through!!

and first off...the office building is GORGEOUS! and they all had on JEANS!

I think it went well, but who knows...the HR rep came in at the end and gave me a packet of drug test/background ck etc...in case they called with an offer.

john's closing tonight, so I took the girls to Olive Garden, they were awesome!! and now we are going in the hot tub!!

any truth to the $7k for the repo? I saw Dodi write about it!
