12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2 Part 15

Hello! I thought this would be a good time to introduce myself since this board seems to move quickly! I am Aimee...lbgraves "old" friend! (we really need to find a better way to say that, huh Lisa?) I just could not believe that I saw you guys from the monorail at the Contemporary. I saw Mike and the kids go by first and I thought, hmm...they look familiar and just as it dawned on me who they were I saw you!! I had been at the GF making my photo disk (from our photo passes) and was heading back to the Poly to leave . I cannot believe how much my DH has been charmed by WDW. We had talked about maybe going back when DD is 9 or so. But after this trip (the first that we planned and took on our own...without extended family...the first two just don't even count for us) he is ready to go sooner. I told him we should try the cruise and I don't think I'll have to twist his arm too much to agree! It will of course depend on finances. I am a SAHM and I do NOT have the same drive and ability to save money as miss Lisa! Oh...well, I am working right now at my DD's school, but it is an unpaid internship, so I still consider myself a SAHM. (I'm in the process of becoming a certified Montessori teacher). Anyhow...I'm going to talk to DH more about it and once I get the ok from him I will move forward. I also have to talk to my sister because we had planned to rent a beach house together in the Outer Banks this summer...and we definitely wouldn't be able to do both. So...wish me luck! I look forward to getting to know you all!

Did I tell you that I actually did see a naked kid on the ship, not one of ours and it was on deck 2 not 6, in the elevator bay. I was Cute little girl just stripped it all off!

She must have been lurking on the thread and knew how to party with the DIS geeks!

I stayed there in 2002 right after my first cruise. It is a beautiful resort, if you get the mansions, then the ones right across from the pool are the closest to everything.

good picks are Acadian House, Magnolia Terrace, and in the alligator bayou section #14, #27, #39.

We stayed there our first vacation to WDW - 1999 - when it was still Dixie Landings. We loved it!

We stayed there on our Sept '05 trip. DH wasn't very into the "rustic" theme, but it was a great place. We loved the ferryboat to DTD!

Good morning everyone!!! I'm enjoying a bagel and hot chocolate with marshmellows (I couldn't find the fluff when I went to the store last time) and had to catch of on the boards. I'm also putting off cleaning.

Here's Walt with his new Leapster from Santa. It has been a big hit.

Oh... why, yes, he's not wearing any pants. He was earlier that day. Naked children... not just for Deck 6, you know.

(Underwear, yes. Pants, no.)

At least he is wearing a shirt. DS still prefers the underwear only method of dressing.
