I would SO switch in a heart beat......but DH is working a half day. We leave at 4 p.m. We didn't get a "ding", but got $59 one-way fares.

I think we were on that flight originally but or maybe it was the 2:00ish one but i figured the day was wasted at home anyway so might-as-well fly down on Karen's flight.....

So, to be sure I understand this correctly.......the TSA only allows a quart-size ziplock bag with 1 oz. or less items in it/one per passenger......right?

It's 3 ounces of each item, right? (Not 1 oz.)? I could go to the TSA website, but I'd rather up our post count!

right :thumbsup2 3oz. I'm just going to bring a set of travel shampoo with me in carryon and all the larger sized stuff will go in the carryon.

Oooh, I wish we were going early, too! I have read DH the riot act about being a millisecond late to the airport (he's coming from work, meeting us at BWI). He's notorious for cutting it waaaaaaay too close.

Me, on the other hand, would rather be at the airport 3 hours ahead of time in case of traffic, snow, etc.

I'm anxious to try DCL's new toiletries......but I'm still bringing my fav shampoo in a little bottle with me.

Which reminds me......I have to go check DCL's website to see if they've given us a stateroom assignment yet. As of yesterday, we were still in "guaranty" status.

really some are still getting moved around...

I've was too chicken to downgrade....

So still in my SPH so i'm not too bummed.... (ok except when i here that those who downgraded are getting 8's too) Mine is the only SPH that doesn't have a steamer trunk though.....I'll really miss it...

I'm worried about those rt 70 messes......

Our flight is at 9:25 so that means be at airport 7:30 to 8ish but we should be on the road no later than 6 to allow for messes. We might end up there early but better than late.

Thankfully, we miss Rte. 70 -- but it's Rte. 32 that really backs up sometimes. I have seen it back up in perfectly FINE weather in the middle of the day for no reason.

I hope the security check in won't be as bad now that Southwest has their own terminal area at BWI.

Holy moly Becka.......I just re-read your post. You're driving STRAIGHT THROUGH? Super, duper safe travels!!

We'll be driving straight through to IL for Christmas. It gets harder to do every year.....something about the drivers getting older! :rotfl:

:rotfl:

The drive down is usually not too bad because adrenaline can fuel you a long way. :thumbsup2 The drive back we will take 2 days to do...we learn our lesson on that one last time when we drive straight through on the way back. :sad2:

We've never moved either. Maybe the upgrade fairies decided no upgrades if you booked an 8.

Smart way to do it!! Adrenaline definitely can get you there!!

No upgrades for us... :sad2: I hope there are some at the upgrade desk in the terminal. :)
