My mother was a very modest and unpretentious woman. She had a very hard life, growing up poor in Greece. She came to this country for a better life.

She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She taught us the value of education, even though she never received beyond what would amount to a grade school education. She had an unwavering faith in God, and a love and respect for all people. During the racial strife of the 1960's she taught us that the value of a person was not the color of their skin, but the value of their character. There was not one hateful bone in her body, and she would not hurt a fly.

She sounds alot like my grandparents from the same generation.
From working class neighborhoods. Didn't always know their whole families.
Limited education. But even though my DGP's didn't go to college, they knew a lot, they knew how to pay thier bills, how to raise their kids, and did it with much less than we have today.

We'll have your family in our thoughts and prayers this week as you celebrate your Dm's life and the example she was for future generations.

DH is going to try to load several SD cards with Xmas music for DD so that she doesn't have to take any CDs with her. Has anyone flown with AirTrans? we are flying them for the 1st time. I just assume they are similar to any other discount airline. they almost decided to come into Greater Cincinnati but everyone is afraid to because of Delta. we basically have no competition for them at our airport. a lot of people are very nervous about the threats of USAir & Delta merger. they think that it could really adversely affect the service out of our airport as if it isn't already bad enough.

thanks. I am getting a little nervous because we fly in on Sat morning. we have done this twice and never had a problem with delays but I am terrified that it might happen this time. I just have to relax.

one of the guys with one of the teams had to be removed by a stretcher. they said he has a neck sprain. I sure hope he is okay.

the denver QB just got his 1st touch down. It is really neat because his parents are in the stand. they came for thanksgiving and haven't left. he wasn't suppose to start but they needed to get the offense charged again.

there has been some really good plays. It is fun to watch a new QB. this is his first start, Cutler I think. he really is doing a good job tonight.

thanks. I actually thought I was booking ATA--that is who we have flown with the last two times but wound up on Air Tran. They were over $150 cheaper than ATA and $350 cheaper than Delta out of Cincinnati
