With the size of this group, we could cover the beach area from both of those points. ;)

It'll look like a new war movie...called "They Carried Lime Pirate Flags"

Hold the lines men! The beach chairs have to hold! No hammocks will be lost this day...

This might have been covered already...

Polling the ladies...

Lots! :) Black dress shoes, white dress sandals, cream dress sandals, brown day sandals, white day sandals, sneakers for the tour, beach shoes, black boots for pirate night. I think that is it.

I actually put the hair-ties away so as not to misplace them. I also opened a box from Disney today (I got it about a month ago?) and found a new bathingsuit for Dina and Mickey polo shirts for the family. They "match", but are different colors. They are very comfy. :thumbsup2 Put those away too.

Charlotte,

DD LOVED EVERYTHING!!! She put everything carefully back in the package so she wouldn't lose anything that came from Tink! She said 'mommy make sure you don't even throw away the package". You are TOOOO COOOOL FOR SCHOOOOOL!

Kim

The following was the response I received from DCL in my request for clarity on whether you can still ship to IDS and if so what, you can ship to IDS.

Also thank you Pj for making me think about it and ask the question in the first place - I never am on the main boards so I would have ordered all of those items and had it returned or something....

The good thing is the supplies to the children/school can still be sent it appears, so that is a wonderful thing.

I am so bummed that I missed that today. :(
You didn't miss it Lisa. I turned it on because I saw Brandi's post and it is only in the last scene as Luke is leaving that she says his name. The previews look much more exciting so Friday (or Monday) is the day to watch.

My girlfriend was working at AMC I think today. I asked her to give me the scoop about people while she is there. Of course she is really nice and kind so no dirt from her. I remember commenting that someone was a wooden performer and she talked about how dynamic and responsive they are in real life. She's no fun.

I haven't had a chance to read at all today other than these last couple of pages. I see people are in packing mode. What is that?? No matter what I do I always seem to be finishing packing until the wee hours of the morning we leave. I have a thing about it - mental block - who knows. I find it very stressful. If it is work I also pack at the last minute. :confused3

Don't get me wrong I know what I am packing when it is work or for DH or DD. It is just me.

I took the afternoon off today because I felt like crap but frankly I don't have time to feel like crap. Things to do things to do.

I always feel guilty taking the downtime as well. I told a co-worker it would have been better to be hospitalized trying to get over pneumonia. At least then it is more difficult for people to ask you for things right after they ask how you are. I mean how are you supposed to answer it - its a purely retorical question isn't it. They really don't want to know. Now I say Fine and I get the response "No you are not" I say "You're right. So, what can I do for you today"

Today (well yesterday now) was picture day. DD looked so cute. Her whole class was there. A little boy who has been out with ...drum roll...you guessed it pneumonia for the past 3 weeks was back. I'm happy for them as it's a bummer to not have the whole class there for picture day and the kids get disappointed.

Speaking of which DD almost missed her picture last year but for her super spectacular Kindergarten teacher. Her class picture was taken first thing in the morning - well DD wasn't there because we were rushing out the door at 8A and what did I do - I closed the door and the keys to everything were still in the house and the door was locked. Panic! Running around I ended up calling the school (who told me her class was heading down), Panic, calm down enoug to call our cousin who comes to our house picks us up and brings us to school. On route I am explaining to DD that she may have missed the picture (ugh). As it turns out the teacher got the message and asked to delay the class picture until DD arrived. Wasn't that so sweet! I was so thankful!

Okay off to bed. Evidently I have been signed on as well. I wonder when I did? I must have forgotten to sign off previously.

Hope you feel better soon.

Wow - quite slow last night. Where was everyone? I know I was at work. Yawn. I'm so tired and I think today is gonna be another late night.

Oh - I forgot to share with everyone...remember that lion costume I stumbled across for my son's show that he is in.....well....they ran out. Ugh! So now I have to MAKE a darn lion costume this weekend. I have no pattern...just gonna wing it. I hope it turns out okay.

Happy Friday everyone.

Take care.

I might get a few posts in tomorrow morning but then I leave for camp where there is no internet connection at all (much less high speed!). I won't be back until Sunday evening so I'll miss chat AND be behind by 1,000's of posts.

Good night!
:wave2:
Have fun at camp Brack!

It really wasn't very dramatic. I think today will be better. The 3 kids were all telling her how much they missed her (at that point they thought she wouldn't wake up) then they left. Luke was in talking to her and about to leave when she turned her head and said "Luke." Then the show ended.

John, you think like I do and....<wait - EVERYONE RUN!!!!!!> ok, where was I...

Of yeah, I stake out right down from Cookies, makes our lunches easier to get to. We need to organize and conquer...I mean, coordinate. We need to coordinate the night before and get on the same page. The kicker will be family members who want tubes and such - that slows us down. Maybe send one or two scouts..I mean, parents...over to pick those up and drag them to the bases, I mean...beach chairs. Plans, plans, already our minds are becoming one...
It is scary...doggone scary!

lbgraves said:
Forget the tubes!!! We can send others out to get those first. The kids can follow behind with the moms so we can get the cute character pictures before they all hit the DIS sand. :thumbsup2
I did not take that into consideration. I will have to stop for pics...at least on the first day! Maybe my DH will have to go ahead.

Yeah, usually if we see them, they are on the beach side off the back of the boat, not the dock side...

I remember the one time I raced out on the beach and was wading in the water a few feet out (no one around...) and one of the island's barracuda swam by...the life guard came by, I mentioned it and he confirmed it was a barracuda... "They only bother people with shiny jewelry and stuff that attracts them."
My DH saw a ray at the adult beach on our first trip. He was floating on a raft and using his snorkle goggles with his face in the water. He took pics of it and everything!
