Just so I understand, if for example, your home resort is The grand Floridian. You can start booking at 11 months but not before. So if you are looking to rent points from someone at grand Floridian for May 2016 those will not become available until June 2015. Correct?

All you can do on the DIS is respond to posts on the rent/trade board. You cannot post a request for a reservation or points.

Looking for BLT and tried using them last year with zero success. They seen to have very limited availability along the monorail . Ended up find a very nice lady to rent from here. Just kind of lucked into it as I had never rented points before.
Just trying to figure out the best way to improve my chances for 2016 rental. Perhaps I should give them another go as well. Thanks!

If you were successful renting points and were pleased with the transaction, I would definitely try to rent from them again. Good luck!

We have a contract and sent it off for ROFR yesterday for BLT. LOL!

To increase your odds, I would try both Dave's and the rent board. Take whichever comes first and you feel comfortable with.
