Oh, the kicker in this story is the lovely adoptive "parents" continued to claim him as a dependent even after he "ran away." In fact, they claimed him as a dependent in their 2002 bankruptcy filing even thought they hadn't seen him since 1999.
Relatives are now coming out of the woodwork saying this boy was terribly abused while he was in the home. How very sad. No child deserves that.
I'm guessing they're going to be brought up on at least three charges -- 1) fraud for continuing to claim him as a dependent, 2) not reporting a missing child, which I believe is against the law in their state, 3) child abuse. And 4) murder if they find remains. And it sounds like they're looking for remains.
