11 month window,

Hi All,

We are just looking into buying some DVC points. I think we have just about all of our questions answered, however there is only one doubt in my mind that is stopping me saying yep lets go for it..... That is do you ever have problems getting reservations at your home resort at the 11 month window? I don't want to pay all of this money not to be able to go on hols when we want (can).

We only tend to go to Disney world in the slightly quieter times of the year (Sept, Oct, Nov). We have been looking into BWV or BCV and would mainly be after a studio or 1 bedroom Villa. Although I really do like the look of AKV

BWV and BCV are busy in October due to the Food and Wine Festival but if you buy there and can book at the 11 month window I can't see a problem. We bought AKV at the end of July and have got a studio at SSR for the whole two weeks we wanted in the middle of October. So there is room for movement even if it isn't your home resort that you book at. From what I am reading the concierge and value rooms at AKV will be quite sought after and you will probably need to book as near to the 11 month window as possible to get these.

It depends what you want and where you want it...

I just got a studio for 5 days, leaving in 3 weeks time. Studio is at Saratoga Springs which is a large resort, generally the larger resorts tend to have a fair bit of availability, but there will be more demand for certain types of accomodation at certain times of the year.
