11 month ressie at home/switch at 7 months

Hello all, We are planning a family vacation next year and intend to reserve a grand villa. My home reort is OKW but we would like to try another resort. Is it possibel to reserve the GV at OKW at 11 months and then at 7 months check to see what other resorts have GV openings - cancelling the OKW ressie and booking the other resort? We just want to be safe and have the GV booked in case we can't get one anywhere else. Thanks for your answers.

Yes, that's what most people do when they want to stay at their non-home resort. Book at your home to ensure you have something, then see about switching at 7 months.

I hope you get what you want. I'm sure some people will be looking for a GV at OKW at 7 months!

If I'm not mistaken, every other GV will require more points than the OKW GV. You'll need those extra points when you rebook. BWV only has about seven GV, so the odds are against you there. None at BCV, VWL or GCV. SSR has several.
