11:50 return flight

It is 11:30 cut off for DCL transportation, so you will be fine. I called DCL a couple weeks ago because I was thinking of taking an 11:20 flight and they said I could still use DCL, would just need to do express walk off...which, I did not want to do, so instead I went with a 12:35 flight.

You’re lucky the flights were so close together!

I have an 11:35am flight. Maybe that is cutting it close, but doing the math, even if we aren't able to get off the boat until 8:30 (we plan to leave much sooner), that still gets us to the airport by 9:30, 2 hours before our flight. That is plenty of time if you ask me! I think Disney sometimes is a little overkill when it comes to MCO. The last time we stayed at Magic Kingdom, we missed our Magical Express (which was scheduled FOUR HOURS before our flight time) because one of our kiddos fell ill in the night before we departed. Mercifully they let us on a different magical express an hour later, but they refused to check in our luggage, and gave tons of warnings about how we were sure to miss our flight. We carried our own bags, checked in, went through security, and still waited around the airport more than two hours to board. MCO is really not that big of an airport.

Others with more experience let me know if I am completely off base, but the flight options for us were either 11:35 or 5:30, and I did not want to spend all day stuck at MCO.
You made the right choice imo. I hate waiting around an airport all day.

We live about 30 min north of the airport and we are always home by 9:00 when we leave the port so you will have plenty of time.

This is a problem we're going to encounter-the 2:30 flight with Jet Blue is sky high so we're probably going to take the 5:25pm. They have an 11:15 one but I'm not sure how I feel about that.

11:50 will be no problem. We just got back from a cruise and had an 11:35 flight. We didn't even leave the atrium until about 8:20 and after going through customs we had to wait about 15 minutes before Happy Limo picked us up. With all that said after getting to the airport, checking our luggage and going through security (TSA Pre Check) we still had an hour at the gate before we even started boarding.

I'd take the 11:15 flight, personally. If you leave the ship during Express Drop-Off, you'll probably be at the airport by 9:15, which would allow a very comfortable 2 hours before your flight.

We have taken an 11:45 flight on SW 3 times in a row and had no problems whatsoever--even with the horrible TSA set-up at MCO. And using Disney Transportation.

11.05 flight last week..
Ate at Cabanas, joined the express walk-off line around 7.15. Started to move at 7.30, was at the airport with Disney transportation at 8.45.. I had premier lane at security but even that one was not much less crowded than the regular line and STILL ended up spending an hour in the business lounge before boarding was even getting started...
