I'm trying to find out about my docs right now.

I spoke with someone at AAA and she told me DCL would send out my docs on a date that would be cutting it really close to the date we fly out. So I was going to have the docs sent to our timeshare in Orlando.

Well, I was working on filling out my forms on-line and called DCL to confirm things and I was told my docs were mailed on the 6th to AAA. Now I'm on hold with AAA.

I guess it really isn't a big deal, though. He told me they'd give me our luggage tags at the port if need be.

And I found out we were upgraded to a cat. 9. I'm excited, but I hope it's a good room!

We're in room 2014!

we are still planning on meeting the night before, I think it will be a lot of fun to watch the Magic sail away, then i can get pictures of the ship moving out of dock to use in my scrapbook. Plus I think my boys will relaly like seeing the big boat before we get on it.. if I am not going to sleep the night before I guess it's okay if they are up and just as excited as me!!

I am so with you on the now sleep to excited plan. What time do we want to meet to go over to the Magic? We will be returning our rental car by 3:30 and be at the Raddison shortly after. I think it pulls out of port 4:30ish (correct me if I am wrong but thats what I remember reading somewhere)

On another note NO DOCUMENTS today either. UPS pulled up outside my house my daughter yeled mom there here and then he went to the neighbor on the other side of the street. I really just think they were there to tease me.

Not funny not funny at all. So I am still waiting.




OK 5 min later the neighbor walked over with my docs guess what UPS was wrong I have my docs.

I got my docs today, but one thing i noticed was i didnt get the usual customs form to fill out for nassau. Did anyone else get or not get this as well?? On the last 3 cruises we have taken, we have always received this form to fill out as well with the docs and luggage tags.

We did not get customs forms either, to be honest we didn't get much of anything, so little I had to call my TA and make sure we receive everything we were suppose too. Thankfully we did, it was just because we did the online check in already.

As for meeting, I think we talked about meeting around 4:30, the boat sails at 5 pm, but if you want we can try to meet about 4:20 just incase it sails sooner.

The Customs Form has been discontinued. I remember reading that online here someplace.

I got in touch with AAA today. They received our documents from Disney today. I told them to just hold them in their office and I would come by on Saturday and pick them up. It seems pretty real now. I am going to be packing this weekend.

Well, I don't know if I'll be getting my docs before we leave, but I've been told that's okay. It's only the luggage tags that I really need at this point. I did everything else on board.

We fly home the day we disembark and my kids have to go to school the next day if they want to be in the Christmas program Friday night. Yikes!

Saturday will be spent with church activities and Sunday I have an all day scrapbooking workshop and open house. So I have to get my home ready for the workshop now and the kids won't be able to play in that room. However, it gives me ample space to do costume & clothing alterations/mending before we leave, and space to lay out all the clothes and suitcases.

Oh, and before I leave, I have to get up to 23 CEUs and renew my RN license.

Again, YIKES!


I'm excited and a little stressed about getting some of this stuff done before we leave. I just want it to all be done and GO and forget all the other stuff for 2 glorious weeks!

I was reading some of the other boards and noticed that some times the ships have stayed for 2 days at Cast Away Cay. My family and I were on this same cruise back in Feb of 07' and also went to Cast Away Cay for 2 days. Do you think it might be possible that we stay as Well?

some of them are set up to go to CC 2X during their cruises. According to the DCL website, we are still set to go to nassau, CC, and then a day at sea. they usually only deviate from that if their is a storm or something that prevents us from going to nassau or having the day at sea.

Got our cruise documents- in hand, passports- ready, medical clearance- signed, Disney park tickets- bought, clothes- washing, and its cold outside. Take me to the Caribbean!

We are leaving next tuesday afternoon (in order for DS7 to get credit for attending school we have to wait to take him out til after 12pm )

Now trying to remember not to forget little things that make vacation travel easier: nightlights, chargers for all manner of electronic devices, extra batteries and sd cards....what am i forgetting?

can someone do a final post of DIS stats: DISers on board, FE participants, meeting time place, etc so everyone is on the same page and we don't have to go back thru so many pages?
