Looks like Lisa will be able to fly up to meet me for the weekend and we will do some traveling. Especially into NYC since she has never seen it decorated for Christmas!:cool1:

Happy day, all!

Hey Lynn - Can you help explain the joys of shoppin' to Linda? After all, You are our resident pro!

Bob, I'm sorry to hear (read) that you weren't feeling well, please know you're in our get well thoughts.
Sounds like fun NYC! I would like to visit NY. I was there many many years ago, but I don't remember it at all. Maybe someday. Hope you guys have a good time. Let me know what kind of info you want on our cabin rental. We had a great time and I got some pictures to send you if you want them. No clean up charge, just one flat rental rate.

Denise - I'm so glad that you get to see Heather! I'm glad she's safe and sound. will she have to go over there again?

Oh my - I can't remember who it is, but someone has a birthday today! Is it Lorna?
party: :bday:

Hope all is well with all the sick people. I must admit...all is well here! It's about time. Even our weather is great! Right Kathy!

Wow guys - You will be sailin away pretty soon. It's hard to believe that a year has passed by already!

Bob, we'll have to meet up since you'll be in NY - but we're in the opposite direction from the city :( Lynn, where are you thinking of meeting? It's not exactly Picnic weather any more.

I don't like food shopping either, Lynn - only at scrapbook stores, hardware stores, book stores, and the bear store.

Take care everybody -

morning all,

we have lots of fog today, but it will soon burn off and be beautiful.
Today I hace to look for some clothes and assorted odds and ends so I will actually be busy this morning.

Yesterday I made a fish externder for the cruise.
Do any of you have one??
I never even knew what they were until a couple months ago when I saw a thread about them.
I never have need of a way for people to leave notes for us but they were so pretty and decorative that I decided to make one.

Of course I dont sew and I have no sewing machine, no pins to hold thigs straight. Just scissors and fabric glue, so I have some pockets that are a little crooked but not too bad for someone who hasnt a clue what she was doing.
Today the glue is dry, so now I need to put a dowel acoss the top and attach a ribbon to hang it on the fish outside the cabin door, but here is a photo of it laying on paper towels drying on my coffee table.
Of course the camera angle makes it look a little out of proportion.

hope everyone is feeling better now,

Kathy

Maybe we can set something up for that Sunday afternoon (December 9th, I think). Lisa and I will most likely spend Saturday in NYC. Of course, I have to get all the travel plans confirmed first, but I was hoping to get to see you guys while I am up there!

Lorna: Happy Birthday! :cake: party: :bday:
(Sorry it's a day late, I am moving a little slow this week in the brain department)

I thought everyone could use a smile today, hope this brings a smile to your face

Hi All ... for those that haven't read the '07 board, just an update from the Mutt/Woo household ...

Yesterday I spoke with our vet and we are going to have to let Guido go this weekend. He has been having many troubles, and last week he had 5 seizures, including at least one Grand Maul this past Saturday. I made the appointment and burial arrangements, and he will be buried in the same cemetary with our Sammy, who we lost 2 years ago.

It's so weird ... his is the longest relationship I've ever had ... 16.5 years. He was born during the first Bush administration, lived thru Clinton and the second Bush administrations! My gosh ... I was 25 when we met, had a mullet and no gray hair!

Sooooooooooooo .... all in all, we're doing OK really. We know it's time to quit being selfish and let him go. It will be a very tough Saturday for us.

Okay, I don't know if this is photoshop, or great timing. The shot is titled:

"Have A Nice Day - God"

:sad1: Shell, that is sooo sad.....I am so sorry that you have to do this. I know how hard this will be......Our thoughts will be with you on Saturday....

Denise

I'm so sorry Shell and Bill. I know how hard it is to let go, even if you know it's for the best. We had to put my little dog to "sleep" when he was 16 years old. Steve had to go without me and it was the hardest thing he has ever done.
Know we are thinking of you, all of you.:grouphug:

Hey Linda! I love hardware stores too! You can really get me excited by taking me into a Lowe's! Forget Target, Wal Mart, and the malls - just give me the home improvement stores!

I love to grocery shop! I can spend hours watching people as they: block the isles reading package labels, stand over the meat counter checking out the packages of beef with their cart blocking you from any movement what-so-ever, try to grab the last item off the shelf as you are reaching for it, get mad at the deli workers because they forgot to take a number and they were there before the person behind you, rush to the checkout line just to leave their cart there because they forgot to get something...oh yes, the joys of supermarket sweep! I'm with you Lynn - it is #@%%.

Lynn - did you find out what sex your little bundle of joy is yet?
