You know, from what I have gathered here, you and the kids could just take the motorhome to one end of your property and pretend you are camping! I mean, it isn't like a motorhome is REAL camping anyway!

Bob, I hate to admit it... but I would have known that. My dad was a big Hee Haw fan... and we had to watch it every week.

Greetings Nanaheads from WDW.

We have already had an incredibly magical day. We arrived at the GF and were greeted by a concierge as we got off the Magic Express Bus. Much confusion on our part since we booked a garden view regular room and just were hoping to be placed in one of the buildings we had been recommended.

Well, we were pixie dusted big time and upgraded to concierge in the main building. Speechless. Truly. THEN there was apparently a problem with the room we were assigned (a water pipe burst I believe) and so we were further upgraded to a deluxe room on the 4th floor. One of the ones with a huge living area, sofa and chair - I'd call it a junior suite in most hotels -- with a killer view of the MK fireworks.

What an absolutely perfect start to our trip - truly beyond perfect. We had a great meal at Chef Mickey's, a little bit of MK time and a nice afternoon hanging at the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. Just got done watching Wishes from our balcony. Time for bed.

If I had a road to get me over to the "north forty" of my property I'd probably take your advice, but taking a 34 foot 9 ton motorhome "off roadin" across dikes and ditches is probably not a good idea!!

So you don't think a motorhome is REAL camping huh? Why don't you get yourself about 4 kids (including an infant) and try it in a tent?!

Jeff so glad your trip is going great ...and congrats on the upgrade. Next time I go on vaction, your coming along....maybe I can get upgraded....that never ever happens to me......

Bob, all this talk about "Hee Haw" has brought back some fond memories. I just bought the entire series on DVD. It'll be good for my kids to watch some good wholesome programing for a change!!

Hey everybody!

Now we are SOOOOOOOO spoiled all of a sudden. I don't know how we can go without concierge in the future! But we'll have to! I have read various threads from people who have stayed in the main building at the GF who have complained it wasn't worth it. Now, I realize I only paid for a garden view, but I think this measures up just fine. The Concierge Lounge is something else and while we were tromping through the MK in a rainstorm today we all said, "we miss the concierge lounge."

We spent most of the day at the MK today. Rode a lot of rides. Endured a huge storm. Lizzie and I were on one of the last boats on Splash Mt before they closed for the storm. And now we are off to BOMA for dinner tonight. MK has extra magic hours tonight and Lizzie says we are going. I'll do it if she wants to. But I'm sure I'll be tired tomorrow. Meeting Pat and family tomorrow for a day at Epcot.
