Morning Nana's!

Jeff, hope you can find a good deal on airfare. Most of Delta's fares dropped last week about $11-30 above what they were a month ago.

!

Unfortunately not from Pittsburgh! :headache:

So I have pretty much given up on "good deal" and now am looking for the best connections, timeframes. No reason to get up too early in the AM for flights, fly too late in the day so that we lose a whole day of vacation or fly through ciites we hate flying through (ie Atlanta) if we are going to pay an arm and a leg anyway. The total difference between the "inconvenient 'cheap' flights" and the "convenient/better connections/expensive" flights is less than $200. I'd rather get there when I want to get there and either not lose a day because we are so tired from getting up at 3 a.m. or because we fly in too late in the day.

The excusions on the Mex Riv have been weird. My friend was only able to book 75 days out. Most of the Dolphin and Private Yacht excusions were booked. I just checked and a lot of people must have cancelled because the they are available now. The only excusions showing sold out are:

BOB Underwater - Cabo
Power Snorkel - Cabo
Los Arco Snorkel - Cabo
Nikki Beach - Cabo
Best of Mazatlan
Private Yacht - PV

That is weird. We are probably doing two beach days and a dolphin encounter. I want to do the zip line in Mazatlan but it will depend on the timing for it. I may have to wait until we are onboard and figure out if I can if it is still available. The resorts where they are doing their beach breaks all look really nice and the pricing isn't too bad so we think we are going to do that in both Cabo and Mazatlan. We are planning the Dolphin encounter in PV (I think) and then beach time afterward. Not having Castaway on this cruise makes us want to schedule as much beach time as we can.

oh come on Bob, even you have to admit that Atlanta is one of the worst airports for delays, etc. Philadelphia is THE worst but Atlanta is a close second and O'Hare just behind.

I actually have more trouble with delays going TO Atlanta than coming out of Atlanta. I will admit, it has had its moments, but those were normally due to severe weather (ice storms, tornadoes, etc.).

Detroit was the worst airport I ever dealt with as far as delays. Of course, that doesn't include the NY airports of LaGuardia and JFK, because I absolutely refuse to fly in and out of there!

Just goes to show how different experiences can be. I think Laguardia is a dream airport. I have really never had a problem in flying in and out of there many many times. Atlanta - I once spent an entire night (6 plus hours) going back and forth between Delta and USAir trying to get someone to fly me home. Flights kept getting canceled because planes were "stuck" in the northeast. Hotels were filled and we finally got out at 2:30 a.m. What was most interesting is that a flight that normally takes an hour and a half or so, they did it in 45 minutes. Again, shows how these things are controlled in terms of flight speed etc.

By the way, for anyone who wants to join us on our Mexican Riviera cruise in August, the travel agent we used offered an OBC of $400!!!!! So with that and our Disney Visa credit, we have $450 to start off with.

That is so funny because growing up in Long Island you never, ever wanted to fly our of Laguardia...it's the worst airport (JFK's not too far behind). If there is even a threat of bad weather they shut down. Something with the planes sliding off the runway:scared1:

Wow, that is amazing. I was happy with my DU $150 shipboard credit. That's a whole lot of Pineapple Mojitos:banana:

Got the reference from the people on the DIS board connected to our Aug. 09 Tortola cruise. Really great agent, very attentive and with good advice. If you (or anyone else) wants a referral I can PM you her information.

Hi Jeff. You and Christine are going to have a great time on your Mexican cruises!
