11-29-08 Nana Heads 3: Tiara Bob & The Dreamboats Reunion Cruise CONT'D THREAD #11!

Evening Folks!

Lisa and I just made it home to our doggies and kitties! Made pretty good time on the drive home.

Had a blast, even if we didn't get to make it into Grand Caymen. I don't know that Greg ever answered the question, but basically the wind and waves were too high for the tenders to safely transfer passengers to and from the ships. The decision was made by GC port authority and NOT by DCL itself. It was actually kind of funny, there were 4 ships circling GC like sharks waiting to decide what to do once they couldn't go into port!:lmao:

We had a great time with everyone! So, what do we do now?:confused3

Hi Nanas :wave2: I was walking through my house this afternoon looking for the promenade lounge :confused3 , couldn't find it and couldn't find any nanas either :lmao:

It was great meeting everyone and was great to walk around the ship and always seeing someone.

BFF's...I was calling down to you last night from deck 4 when you were all holding Joey for the picture in front of the Christmas tree, you all were laughing so hard you didn't hear me, so I snapped away :rotfl:

We had a fabulous time! Three sea days are SO relaxing! We didn't even get off the ship in Cozumel, choosing to take advantage of the empty ship to have us a good ol relaxing time. Castaway Cay was glorious, as usual. The meals have been great and the company divine!

Sounds great!:thumbsup2

Hi Bob and Lisa,

Glad you made it home safely. I guess we just relax for the rest of the weekend. I know Lisa has to work tomorrow (that stinks!) Maybe it will be a short day.

I don't think I've ever had a week cruise go by so quickly! I know time flies faster as we get older, but geeez!

It was really nice meeting you two. Hope to be able to come visit Atlanta sometime.

Lisa Rae and Steve

Hi Nanas

We are home as well. What a slap of reality we got. It was snowing when our plane landed and the whole way home. But before we could get on the road we had to get the car jumped as the battery died. Seems someone (me) left the lights on for the past week. DUH.

Great to see old friends and to make new friends. Greg and Stephanie we couldn't have had more fun at dinner. It was great sharing the table with you. Gailyn and Greg, it was great to get to know the two of you as well and I hope you'll make a trip to Pittsburgh sometime soon. We can plan out a very fun day for all of us.

I'll post a trip report of some kind at some point with some photos.

Jeff

Oh man Jeff, that sucks!!! The weather AND a dead battery. Doesn't make for a great homecoming, considering you really don't want to be there to being with

Indeed but now that we are back home and enjoying the space, the big bathroom and full kitchen, we're not quite as sad. So long as I don't have to step outside again for a few days. :rotfl:

LOL I said that same thing to my DH on the plane. I said, the good thing about going home from a cruise is it makes your house seem so much larger.

Evening all:

Home as well:scared: .....but I had the best time. It was great seeing everyone from the 06 and meeting all the new ones.

Jeff: sorry about your car......we also landed to 28 degrees with snow and ice on the ground and snow flurries in the air:scared:

I have already had a few ship moments....you know when you feel like your swaying...ahhhhhhh now when I go to bed tonite I'm hoping that the bed is swaying to. :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for a great time......I did break down and re-book after dinner last nite....I booked for 12/2010....I wanted an Eastern and it was either the Thanksgiving cruise or 12-4.....I booked it for my daughter and her baby and me!!! Gotta get that little one started on the princess stuff ASAP!!!

Well I have to finish clearing off my bed...I'm beat and I dont even want to talk about all the laundry I have for tomorrow. :scared1:

Evening Nana's!!

Looks like we won't be alone on our 12-4-2120 cruise!! We re-booked this one as well! :thumbsup2

Well we had a really great time meeting everyone.

Sad that most of you had to return home.

We left the port and headed to Universal Orlando where we ran into Wendy and Mike. :woohoo:

Had allot of fun at Universal and now we've arrived at our rental house at Windsor Hills!!

We don't fly back home till Dec. 14.

Have a good night.

I'll check in from time to time when I get a break from all the fun. :rotfl2:

Jeff: Sorry to hear about your car and the snow! :scared1:

Oh Rub it in Mr. Greg, 12/14...wow lucky you

Denise, it was great to meet you and Sue. didn't see you both the last couple of days.

Dawn...I missed saying good bye to you last night, I was so tired and when I left you were gone already. Hope you have a safe trip home and drop a note when you get there.

Good morning everyone! The girls wanted to make Christmas cookies last night - and though tired - I broke down so we could transition back to some home fun. We were all so sad that the cruise was over - and that we had been playing in the sand 24 hours earlier and then to the snow and sooo cold!

Today Emily says that she wants to stay home all day. I think everyone is happy to be inside our home; but not yet ready to feel the cold outside.

It was so great to see everyone again and to make new friends. Gailyn and Greg and Stephanie and Greg and their families - we had a great time together this week! Hope everyone had a safe trip home. We miss you all and miss our Disney Magic! (someone else is in our rooms now - can you believe it?)

Will check back later - but for now - have a great day and Happy Holidays to all!

Great to finally meet everyone.

We are in New Jersry, should be home this afternoon.

If anyone has photos of my kids, please email them or post them.

Thanks

Good Morning Nanas    Got home 10 minutes early yesterday, landing at 2:15, to a wonderful Ohio welcome of 26 degrees and snowing:headache:. That was just the final proof for me that God is telling me that I shouldn't live here. So I think we are truly geared up to make a change ... somehow ...

Anyhoo, went and got The Dues, who had a WONDERFUL time at daycare! His report card was an A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ (I'll post the comments later) and he had no timeouts!

As for me, well I tried some Benadryl for the first time in my life at the airport and promptly fell asleep before we even took off and slept thru about the first half of the flight. Got home, unpacked/did laundry, got dinner, and fell asleep again at 7:30, woke up at 10, back to bed at 10:30 and up this morning at 8:30! SHEESH! It's like I didn't sleep all week

Well I'm going to have some GOOD coffee this morning, so back later with pics and such ...
