11-29-08 Nana Heads 3: Tiara Bob & The Dreamboats Reunion Cruise CONT'D THREAD #10!

I just read the trip report from Halloween..

Seems like the 11-16 year olds have been problems lately on the past cruises.

I give anyone on this board permission to beat my children if they are out of line, then bring them to my room, so I may beat them.

Deal?

Deal. The Mexican Riviera cruise was obnoxious with this age group. And it's because they changed the groups and created the "ocean quest" group. WIth all the complaints that started last summer I'm surprised that DCL hasn't made a change back or figured something else out.

To be honest...I'd be completely surprised if we had any problems from any Nana kids.

There are however, allot of parents that don't discipline their children and let them do and say what ever they want.

These are the kids I worry about.....they don't have any parental guidance or oversight and have absolutely no respect for anyone or anything.

They think that the world revolves around them and everything in it and on it is suppose to be for their enjoyment regardless of how it affects other people. (the ones who need to be beat are the parents!!) :lmao:

Ok, I figured it was my turn on the soap box!! :rotfl2:

Well said Greg :thumbsup2

Hi Nanas

Hey the DQ was not a huge deal. Apparently Lizzie flutter kicked in butter fly which is not allowed. The only way the really learn the stroke is by this kind of enforcement. She had a good meet overall and improved all her times. If we would have gotten a fly time I know it would have improved too. That's the only bummer.

Hope everyone is having a GREAT night. We just got back from our date. Saying goodnight to our new GREAT babysitter (hooray hooray hooray). Type to you all tomorrow.

I read some of it. Sounds like the OP is a little overboard on some comments. If I was given 20 pieces of candy on Halloween, you can be damn sure my mother would've said, "You have plenty! Be thankful for what you got."

I'm with you on that Shell. I read it too and had the same exact reaction.

I just realized that now I have to add something else to my spreadsheet :headache:

Just wanted to say good night everyone.

Been having trouble with Minnie fighting with pixie this weekend. She bit her twice pretty good and attacked her 3 times for no apparent reason:confused3 She has already proven herself the dominent dog months ago?

I guess I will call the vet on Monday to see if they can offer some advice. Minnie isnt acting like she is ill or hurting. I just can't figure her out.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. A sudden change in personality must have a cause.

Back from the swim meet. Lizzie did a great job again. She shaved about 2 seconds off her 50 free time and more than a second off her 50 backstroke. She got DQ in butterfly but swam it well. It was a LONG uncomfortable day though as this school had zero seating and so we were all lined up in the halls sitting on towels on the floor and then just could peek in and watch when your kid swam. Elizabeth swam in 3 events numbered 7, 19 and 51. The break between 19 and 51 was something like 2 hours.

Jeff I have a niece who involved in this sport. She is 7 now and I can hardly believe the intensity and technicalism they demonstrate with these young Kids. I guess though the best time to correct them is when they are learning like anything else before they develope the bad habits like me and Golf :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If more parents felt the way we do it definitley would change our world!!!!

Preach on GregID

Ya, its getting bad everywhere I think. :sad2:

I think people have just forgotten, or haven't learned, that real happiness comes from doing something nice for somebody else and not just trying to please themselves all the time.

Speaking of which....I'm late for a date with my wife!!

Catch ya'll later......:wave2:

Yea I know alot of adults who need to practice this philosophy too:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
