Chris made up some business-related excuse for why we can't go. I think it was something about having to run an Easter special. (Which really doesn't make sense now that I think about it because we would be long done with that by Easter weekend! )

Your getting pretty fiesty today Must be all that shopping and fighting crowds all day.

actually I have been huddled in a blanket with my sweats on, long johns under them, 2 pais of socks and my big fuzzy Mickey slippers on.Too cold to get up and grab the computer.

Jeff, here is the info I have for rental cars and shuttles, dont know if it will help you but it might.

Car Rental
All agree that the cheapest option is to rent a car one-way from the airport, drive to the port, drop luggage/family off at port, drop rental car off and take rental car shuttle back to the port. Repeat in reverse for your post-cruise trip back to the airport. Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, Avis & Enterprise, all have drop off locations and free round trip shuttles very close to the port (companies are listed in order of closeness to the port). These four places are open on Sundays and their port shuttles start early in the morning until the afternoon.

National does not have shuttle service to the port. Enterprise has a location on Merritt Island which is a barrier island between the mainland and the beach. They will shuttle you both ways during normal business hours which are M-f 9-6 and Sat 9-12. Your best bets are Budget, Thrifty/Dollar, Avis, Enterprise and Hertz.

STEPHANIE BAILEY has been transfered to Orlando and is no longer working at this office, BUT the new GM IAN SAM who worked at the Orlando airport for 12 years, says that he will give the same service as when Stephanie was there and he told me that he will always have cars available for either company which are Dollar and Thrifty. Mr Sam said he would stop and intoduce himself so that we all can feel more comfortable.

I can't do another Western so I won't be on this cruise. Next up Eastern in December of either 2009 or 2010, it all depends on how Samantha's grades re this second quarter. Otherwise, it's either August or February or Easter break

Been up bright and early cleaning and doing the normal chores so we can put up the tree this p.m.

Kathy, did you make it out to get your propane? The area is beautiful. Glad you have a nice area for the girls to run in.

Warm today 36 degrees. Tomorrow we are suppose to have single digit temps! Brrrr...

Hi Dawn,
yes we got the propane ok.
It was really nasty out but we managed to get our shopping done too.

Last night it poured rain all night long anf then today it changed to big wet snow flakes and you can hardly see out.

What ever coems today will freeze tonight to ice because it will be down to 16 tonight and every night the next week.

What so weird is Portland and Salem are suppose to get the worst of the storm and then it will trickle down to us and not be so bad.

well my DD in Salem and mom in Silverton has only has one light dusting of snow last night. No wind or rain or extra cold like we have had.

They seem to have reversed the forcast or something.

So who knows what will really happen?

I am putting on my slow cooker with a nice stew for a hearty dinner and made french toast for breakfast too.

Its hard on the pups becasue they cant get the exercise they need and want. They hate the cold but love the snow.

We will probably loose our electricity sometime during the week due to the ice that will come and we are out in the boonies and will be the last to get fixed but at least we have the generator in the RV to use if we loose it, so we can keep warm.

Soif you dont hear from me sometime for a while it will mean no power here or no internet due to the storm.

Skylar wanted AeroSmith Guitar Hero and World Tour Guitar Hero for the PS2. David bought him an electric guitar and amp.

We used Budget last time...we picked in Port Canveral and dropped of at the airport...the rate was pretty good and pretty sure they didn't charge us a oneway rental fee. We walked of the ship and had no wait for the free shuttle. We usually use the Wal-Mart Customers code to get up to 25% off rentals at Budget. Use BCD code W810011.
