Morning everyone,
looks like I am the last to check in as usual and I am a bit earlier than normal.

Jaime, muscle relaxers can make you have strange reactions, just take it easy and all will be better soon:goodvibes
Greg has taken them too. He has had similar side effects and years ago the ones they gave him changed his personality and made him mean:eek: or at least he blamed it on the pills:rolleyes1
we got them changed and he was fine. If they bother you too much ask the doctor if he can prescribe a different pill. They are all just a tad bit different.

Kathy

I am not liking the side effects...you are right about being mean:scared1: I am quicker to get upset...the strange thing is I don't have any side effects until 4 hours after taking them...I will give it until Monday and if I am still having side effects I'll get something else.

Dawn,
enjoy the hair cut.
I love the feel of someone else washing my hair, it almost puts me to sleep when they rub back and forth.:goodvibes
I wish I could cut mine but my cancer treatments years ago ruined the texture. I cant curl or shape it at all, no perms either or it will just break off:confused3
So if I cut it, it will just lay flat on my head and look like a mans hair cut.
I figure if it has to be laying flat it looks best long to lay on the shoulders.

I have tried all kinds of shampoos and conditioners but they dont help.

You should ask one of the boys to take your picture and post it so we can see the new do:goodvibes I would love to see it..

Kathy

Me too:thumbsup2

I'm back online for a minute. I guess the cable company is adding new channels and upgrading their system, so I just have to deal with it until they're done.....I guess?!

I feel like a new woman. Really not that much different other than a good cut and much thinner! I've got a story though. I haven't been in a good while. I walked in to the salon and said appt with Mary Jo, etc etc. The receptionist says what's your name again? I don't even have you in my system? :scared1: Long story short they had deleted people that hadn't been in to the salon in a while and it deleted appts too! They are going to have quite a few mad clients because I imagine this time of year a lot of people come in! Well, Mary Jo fitted me in but she didn't have time to blow dry my hair. It only cost me $20 plus a $5 tip!!! How about that!

I can't wait to go visit with Lorna tonight!

Greg, I hate when my cable goes out to but I guess they have to work on it sometime! Why don't they do it at night when everyone is in bed :lmao:

Look what I just read...

CELEBRATION, Fla. – This holiday season, give a gift that’s both nautical and nice: a cruise on the Disney Magic or the Disney Wonder, both decked to the “raft-ers” with holiday cheer.

From Thanksgiving and continuing through to the new year, Disney Cruise Line adds sparkle to both ships, from traditional “turkey day” fanfare to Christmas feasts, “snow flurries” and New Year’s Eve galas. But the best part might just be relaxing on deck instead of shoveling snow.

The spirit of the season surrounds guests the moment they arrive at Port Canaveral, Fla., with Disney characters in their finest holiday attire welcoming guests to the beautifully decorated private Disney Cruise Line terminal.

Special stem-to-stern holiday events on both ships, beginning Nov. 22, include:

o Nightly “King Triton’s Tree Lighting” in the atrium lobby, where a young guest will help Disney characters light the glittering, three-deck-tall tree.
o An afternoon Tropical Pool Party every day with Santa and Mrs. Claus with fun, food, games and activities. Plenty of Disney characters join the celebration, including Lilo and Stitch, Chip ‘n Dale, Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. Be sure not to miss the “Winter-Sunnyland” conga line around the pool.
o Special family time with holiday crafts such as decorating stockings, making holiday cards and creating holiday animation cells.
o Holiday storytellers sharing tales of diverse holiday traditions, from Hanukkah and Kwaanza to the Bahamian Junkanoo. Plus, an all-new story just for Disney Cruise Line guests about the magical feeling of the holidays on a ship.
o Traditional holiday feasts in Disney’s three themed dining rooms.
o “ ‘Til We Meet Again,” a special holiday edition of Disney Cruise Line’s cheerful farewell on the final night of each cruise with beloved Disney characters and the ship’s crew in an engaging musical finale led by Mickey Mouse.

And when cruises during the holiday period put in at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, the celebration continues:

o Guests will delight with “snow flurries,” decked-out Christmas trees, Disney character meet-and-greets and holiday carolers.
o Youngsters will be busy with holiday-themed activities such as making candy cane reindeer, paper plate angels and snowflake mobiles.

Thanks for posting that. They have added a few things, thats great.

I always love the tree lighting ceremony the first night.:goodvibes
I always get on the atrium level so it can snow on me at the end;)

The holiday crafts for families they didnt have last time, i will do that for sure.

Sounds like there will be a few new things, like the Christmas deck party, that is new too:thumbsup2
Maybe I should take one holiday shirt to wear to it?

Kathy

A Senior Citizen
I am a senior citizen...

- I'm the life of the party... even when it lasts 'till 8pm.

- I'm very good at opening childproof caps with a hammer.

- I'm usually interested in going home before I get to where I'm going.

- I'm good on a trip for at least an hour without my aspirin, antacid...

- I'm the first one to find the bathroom wherever I go.

- I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.

- I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a word you're saying.

- I'm very good at telling stories...over and over and over and over.

- I'm aware that other people's grandchildren are not as bright as mine.

- I'm so cared for: long-term care, eye care, private care, dental care.

- I'm not grouchy, I just don't like traffic, waiting, children, politicians...

- I'm positive I did housework correctly before the Internet.

- I'm sure everything I can't find is in a secure place.

- I'm wrinkled, saggy and lumpy, and that's just my left leg.

- I'm having trouble remembering simple words like... uh...

- I'm realizing that aging is not for sissies.

- I'm walking more (to the bathroom) and enjoying it less.

- I'm sure they are making adults much younger these days.

- I'm in the *initial* state of my golden years: SS, CD's, IRA's, AARP.

- I'm wondering, if you're only as old as you feel, how could I be alive at 150?

- I'm anti-everything now: anti-fat, anti-smoke, anti-noise, anti-inflammatory.

- I'm a walking storeroom of facts... I've just lost the key to the storeroom.

- I'm a Senior Citizen and I think I am having the time of my life... Aren't I?

Visiting a barber
A man enters a barber shop for a shave. While the barber is foaming him up, he mentions the problems he has getting a close shave around the cheeks.

"I have just the thing," says the barber taking a small wooden ball from a nearby drawer. "Just place this between your cheek and gum."

The client places the ball in his mouth and the barber proceeds with the closest shave the man has ever experienced. After a few strokes the client asks in garbled speech.

"And what if I swallow it?"

"No problem," says the barber. "Just bring it back tomorrow like everyone else does."
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

My wife is missing
The man approached the very beautiful woman in the large supermarket and asked, "You know, I've lost my wife here in the supermarket. Can you talk to me for a couple of minutes?"

"Why?"

"Because every time I talk to a beautiful woman my wife appears out of nowhere."

Save the dead rabbit
A man was driving along the highway, and saw a rabbit hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the rabbit, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of the car and was hit. The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road and got out to see what had become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit was dead. The driver felt so awful he began to cry.

A woman driving down the highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong.

"I feel terrible," he explained. "I accidently hit this rabbit and killed it."

The woman told the man not to worry. She knew what to do. She went to her car trunk and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead rabbit, and sprayed the contents of the can onto the rabbit. Miraculously, the rabbit came to life, jumped up, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped down the road. 50 feet away the rabbit stopped, turned around, waved at the two again, hopped down the road another 50 feet, turned, waved, and hopped another 50 feet. The man was astonished. He couldn't figure out what substance could be in the woman's spray can! He ran over to the woman and demanded, " What was in your spray can? What did you spray onto that rabbit?" The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said:

"'Hare Spray' Restores Life to Dead Hare. Adds Permanent Wave."
