Good Morning All!

We took the girls for a drive last night to Cape Spear...it's a 30 minute scenic drive from here. It is the most easterly point in North America. I have been there before but this was the first time I was there that it nice...a warm wind...usually it is freezing out there and very windy! We sat down on the rocks and watch the humpback whales feeding in the ocean...really neat! On the way home we got to see one of the prettiest sunset I have seen. I took some pictures I'll upload a little later...the pictures of the whales didn't come out the best...you can't see much of them in the picture. There seems to be a lot of whales around this year...

:lmao: :lmao:

Ok I would ride it but would probably cry the whole time...I had a fear of coasters...I have only been on three all before the girls were born...On our honeymoon Glen wanted me to get on one...I wouldn't here tell off it...I told him I really couldn't understand why he wanted to kill me so quickly:lmao: :lmao: A little girl about 5 and her dad came up...she was so excited about the ride...I still had no plans on getting on until she got in line and they wouldn't let her ride because she wasn't tall enough...I felt so bad for her...she was so upset...so I rode it and nearly had a heartache...:scared1: Since then I rode big thunder mountain and space mountian(I had no idea I had to sit by myself)...they weren't too bad...

Yes, I rode it 3 times on the last trip. twice during the day and once at night during the extended hours. I enjoyed the night time ride better...the drops and turns kinda sneak up on you since you can't see them that well.

I love coasters, haven't met one yet I wouldn't go on. Funny thing, I have a fear of heights. I won't go on the ferris wheel but I can the coasters. :confused3 :confused3

Here is the craziest coaster I have ever been on, and not sure I would do it again. It is Kingda Ka at Six Flags - Jackson, NJ.

I'd love to see whales!!! I've never seen one, especially in the ocean (as opposed to sea world:lmao: )

OMG...your are crazy! :cool1: :cool1: That thing looks scary!!!!

I love roller coasters too!! But I haven't been on one in years what with the pregnancies and the small children and all!!

It is amazing...the humpbacks are huge! The best way to see them is out on a whale watching boat tour...we usually go every second year on Canada Day...you get so close you can smell them. It cost about $50 each. We have the most whales in late June & July in Newfoundland...just after most the iceburgs pass through...even though there stil are a few iceburgs.

We went to Florida in 2004...My Dad is nuts too:rotfl2: :rotfl2: He loves coasters...especially the two at Island of Adventure...I couldn't get on because I was pregant:thumbsup2 Talk about good timing! Glen looked so green when he got off:rotfl2: The same color as the hulk:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Did he try The Kraken at Sea World. That one even goes underground:scared1:
Greg loves it and so does my Grandaughter.

Also Shekra at Busch Gardens at Tampa. My gosh it is terrifying. At one point you are suspended right at the top of the highest drop, facing straight down to where youwill be dropping and there is NO floor.

:scared: :scared: :scared:

WOW,
that would be awesome to see. I have seen one whale on a cruise from far away, mostly saw his spout.
we have a lot of whale watching boats here too.

WOO HOO,

Top of the page for me:cool1:

Since this is Greg's birthday I wont rub it in that I beat him to the top again, that poor man is up all night working very hard to support his family and still takes time to honor us with his presence at every available moment he has, which is usually about the time we get to the top.:thumbsup2
He is a saint:cloud9:

WOW!! HOLY COW BATMAN, now thats a coaster:woohoo:

My husband wouldnt even blink an eye to go on that, but me, I probably couldnt even look up to watch it go without getting dizzy:rotfl2:
Greg would absolutely love that. We have watched a lot of shows on the best coasters and I think that one may have been on one of those shows.

Now that i have gotton caught up on the posts,
Good morning everyone,

going to be UPPER 90's today and tomorrow.:scared:
Way to hot for me.

So today i will take the dogs out for their long romp this morning and the short one in the afternoon, because I dont want to be out in that heat.
It's funny, I will go to a theme park and be very active at 95 degrees, but if i'm at home it feels way to hot to go out and I just hibernate inside?

Hi Melanie
Hi Lisa
Hi Dawn
Hi Greg
Hi Chuck
Hi Brantley

I think thats all of us accept once in awhile an 08'er will pop in.

I am off to check out the other board.
