Hi,
Yes, I will be happy :goodvibes to write down what types of wraps they have and pastas too if you want. I think there were 4 or 5 different wraps last time and a couple of pastas. I cant guarantee they will stillbe the same when we sail, but i will check it out for you. I know there is usually one vegetarian, such as spincah and c ouple of meat. I remember they did change some each day. DH loved the chicken one last trip.
Fruits are always, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, bananas, grapes (green) apples, oranges, whole kiwi, pineapple too.
DH loves the bananas, they taste different from what you buy in the store. I think they are Dole, not sure I would have to ask him.
Glad to hear you had a cold front!! Ha! Ha! :rotfl2:

Take care everyone,
Kathy

Hi guys,
I am planning to book this one onboard. I am going on the 9/16/06 Double Scoop and have already selected this date for our next cruise. It would be me, DH, DS2 and DD5 at time of cruise. If I collect deposits from others, I will book another 3 SR for my sis, BIL, and their DS8, DD6, my brother, SIL and their DS13 and DD12 and my Mom. This is still not 100% sure but I will push for it!

Kathy - I think some of your posts helped me get some info for my first cruise. You gave me info regarding food allergies. Thank you :)

:welcome:
Hi Serina, :goodvibes
That is your posting name, is it also your real name?? :confused3
I would like to have a name to know you by. You didnt give one on your post.

We are happy to have you along!!! :cloud9: We were beginning to wonder if there was anyone else out there coming along. :confused3
I probably did answer your food allergy questions, I know I have answered a few over the past couple years on that subject. Hope I helped you some.

We are from Fruitland Park Florida, so we are in the same state, just a different area. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months, hope your entire party can come along. That would be awesome!!

Kathy

Sirena means mermaid in Spanish. I just picked it b/c I like Ariel. :) My name is Ilonka and I am Puerto Rican. My husband is Dutch, of Indian descent. I picked this date b/c it would be my DD's 6th birthday (11/29) onboard. Last time it was on pirate night and she thought the whole party was b/c of her birthday.

Nice to know your real name. :thumbsup2 You will have to teach me the correct way to pronounce it when we meet.

Happy fathers day to all the dads out there!! :goodvibes

Hope you are having a great day!! :woohoo:
Kathy

party: Welcome Ilonka, so happy you are going to join us. Sounds like you have been on a lot of Disney cruises. Great! between you and Kathy I will have my whole vacation planned out by the end of this year :thumbsup2

Kathy, thank you so much for getting me Goofy Galley info. I just like knowing all the lunch options that are available because my husband and I are very picky eaters. I must have looked at the menus a thousand times. We did get some lunch at Pluto's last year and I was kind of surprised because the chicken was so spicy and I really don't like spicy food :sad2:

Had a good weekend, got a lot done for my friends baby shower next weekend. It was very hot here, 106 was the high.

Deana, I hope you pack really lite for your trip here.

Hello there. i've only done one cruise and now doing the second one this Sept. I cannot wait. We are planning the meets, pins, tshirts, tag game, etc. Later on I can help plan some things for this cruise too.

Happy Monday everyone, :thumbsup2
hope you day is going well. :goodvibes
We are hot and humid again today, :sunny: but NOT 106 like you!! Thankgoodness!!
Have you ever tried cooking an egg on the sidewalk during the summer?? I have heard of people doing stuff like that just to see how long it takes in all that heat. Not long really! Of course its a waste of a good egg, but it might be fun to try sometime, to time it and see how long it takes to cook. :wizard:

Have a good evening everyone, :grouphug:
Kathy

Where does the time go??? :confused3 I missed Ilonka joining up. Hi and welcome. :wave2: My daughter will celebrate her 9th birthday on board on 11/29 too! Very fun.

Oh Christine. I'm beginning to dread my trip to Vegas. So hot. :sunny: What restaurant is getting all the buzz at Red Rock? We are done by 3 pm every day, so we will have plenty of time to check things out, let the kids do Kids Quest and get a peaceful meal.

Getting my landscaping put in this week. We've lived here 18 months and thought it might be about time. Goodbye brown, hello green. :thumbsup2

Have a great week everyone.

Deana

Kathy or anyone else,
Have you done this Eastern cruise before? I would like to get ideas for shore excursions or things to do. DH is excited to go to St Marteen. Me too, of course. He wants to go the beach and wait for the a plane to land above his head. Apparently there is a beach next to the airport and planes come really close to the shore. I wanna go sightseeing, of course!

No, I was wrong it wasn't 106...it was 109  yesterday on my drive home from work at 4:30pm...:teeth: yeah that's hot.

Deana, don't worry about the heat as long as you don't go outside :rotfl2: I have eaten at TBones and Terra Rosa in Red Rock both are really good but also very expensive. If I had to choose I would say Terra Rosa but that's because I like Italian food more than steak. If you are looking for something a little cheaper everyone loves Salt Lick BBQ, it's a famous place from Texas. I haven't eaten there but that's because I worked there during opening and have no desire to go back :lmao:

Ilonka, I have read about that beach on a trip report and the person said the plane made her fall down :faint: so be careful. If the excursions don't change, I am planning on doing the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St Martin and Capt Nautica Snorkel in St Thomas/St John. My husband and I are not the type of people to spend all day at the beach so we figured we would do some snorkeling on the first two ports of call and just hang at the adult beach in Castaway Cay.

OK time to go. I will be training for a new job this week so I don't know how often I will be able to post, but don't worry I will be back, just keep it bumped to the first page.

PS: Very excited, I just booked my trip to Disneyland in September. We are going from Sept 21-24. :Pinkbounc

Yes we have done the eastern a couple of times before. We arnt beach people so cant tellyou about them. Sorry!
We did the under 2 flags island tour which was ok, we had 3 beautiful views from up high, but that was all, not really impressed with it. Lucky to have survived the driver we had!!!
DD did the butterfly farm with little kids and loved it. Other DD did snorkeling at Pinel island and said it was AWESOME!! On St. Johns we did a Eco Hike which we really enjoyed! It was hot, but we did have a short swim time towards the end of the hike and water was provided, but NO bathrooms.
The other trip we just explored and shopped on our own. Havnt decided for this trip what we will do for sure. Our beach day is always at CC. Lots of low flying planes in st. maartin. even on the ship you will have many many small sea planes flying very close while your in port. The big airport is right on the beach. we saw it on our tour.

109 aagghhh!!! :sunny:
Unbelievable!!!

I wont complain about our upper 90's, that is nothing compared to you.

Take care,
kathy

Kathy, yes we did try to cook an egg on the concrete when we first moved here and it didn't work. However, you can melt ice cubes in a matter of seconds :) Last night at 9:00pm is was still over 100.

OK well just checking in and trying to keep us on the first page. Have a good day everyone.

Kathy,
I was thinking the two flag tour would be interested but I guess not. I will be interested in the Dutch side, of course, being my DH's nationality. We like to explore ourselves too but it is kind of hard with two little ones so maybe planning ahead would be better this time. I don't know yet...it's too soon to decide.

The tour wasnt really bad, just not a lot to see other than a few beautiful views of the water. We had 2 young kids with us too and it was a lot of riding to keep them occupied and we did bring snacks which helped. But the shopping was poor compared to what you can do close to the port.
If I was going to do an excursion with kids on the Eastern I would to the st. maartin butterfly farm tour. Kids love it and you will see some of the island on the bus and a short stop for some shopping. Plenty of time to return to the ship for lunch then go on your own to shop if you want.

Kathy

Gosh, what's next? Take your PITA MIL to work day.

I just heard about that this morning but didn't take them to work. However, the new office I am going to be in lets everyone take their dogs to work every Friday. Don't know how that's going to be but I guess I will find out next week. I am waiting a week before I bring Stitch, don't know if the office is ready for him :rotfl:

Have a good weekend everyone.

By the way, it was 115 in my car yesterday :sunny:
