Christine...thinking about the Fireworks Cruise...what a way to kick off our voyage!

Forgot to tell you guys, this boy came to the costume party tonight wearing this big old handmade stuffed felt horseshoe magnet around his neck. I asked him what he was and in true middle school fashion, he cocked his head sideways and replied, "Chick Magnet!"

I wore these obnoxious gator sunglasses (every principal needs a vision), gator slippers, and this ridiculous looking gator head as a hat. All were gifts from kids, so it was pretty funny.

What am I looking forward to??? Ken loves the 12 Metre Regatta, and I can't wait to see the big Wall of Walt outside the shops. I tear up every time I see Uncle Walt. Can't wait for Karaoke...have NEVER done it!!!

Forgot to mention Disney Dreams...for those of you with young DD's it is NOT to be missed. Take her to the matinee and stay until the very last second to see the best part!

I would second that recommendation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please come to Iredell County! I explained us being gone for two weeks and someone said, "well that will only work because they are kindergarteners". I said, "oh well, they will miss school next year to go to Disney too"!!

I won't even beging to tell you the nightmare we had when we went to WDW two years ago. It was our first time going and Cassie was a freshman in high school. The principal was great, approved the trip with no problems. But some of her teachers acted like we had committed some kind of major crime. It was horrible

You know, I really get WHY they think that no one should travel during school, but here's the deal...either the kids will make up work, or they won't. Our group wouldn't pull out kids if we thought they wouldn't hold up their end of the deal. Parents pay and create a lifetime of memories; our kids bust a move on their work. WE KNOW THEY WILL BE BEHIND...but it's worth it for our families.

'Nuff said. As stated previously, folks who don't have the magic will never understand. And, we don't care. NANA NANA boo boo.
Isn't it hilarious to try to explain the Nanaheads and our Dis addiction? It will be SO nice to be with people who truly get it.

Bottom line: "Wish upon a star and live the life you imagined." I must need more coffee..I'm getting preachy!

Oswalts - I can't imagine dealing with that since M & C are kindergarteners but I know that other teachers gave us the look - both of the girls' teachers asked if we needed a babysitter to take with us! Maiya's teacher is taking a much needed vacation in December - she is a wonderful teacher and person, but her school year has been tough - her mom died the second week of school and her father in law died this week. I feel so badly for her!

Magicgirl - you can still look into coming to NC! We need good principals and administrators but stay away from Charlotte/Mecklenburg system - that is the scariest!
