Speaking of OCD --

I just rearranged my last post so the names were in order shortest to longest! Rehab will do that to you.:rolleyes1 I have to focus on things I can control!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I thought it turned out really pretty though... so I appreciate the effort!

Well, you know Brit........class all the way:thumbsup2

Hey Brit, are you going to wear that same pair of brown boots with every outfit on the ship? (I'm a little scared that I no this about Britney)

(Did I really just type "no" instead of "know"??? Man... the kids are killing all of my brain cells... I mean sells...)

I can't believe it's only 39 days!!!!!!! I've already started having the dreams........you know; the ones where you've left your confirmation numbers, or suitcase or wallet. I'll be a total mess from here on out. I really need to start packing..............

Just want you guys to know; I haven't had alcohol in a week!!!:scared1: Nothing since Drunkfest last Sunday. No desserts, NONE. I have to tell ya', I don't think I'm as nice as I used to be:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: me too...I have been cranky ever since I gave up my chocolate...I'll be like a child with a candy rush on the cruise:rotfl:

Hi Cheri:wave:

I'm back in Huskerland today and let me tell you it's a scary place to be. I tried to lighten the mood and make a joke via email here in the office and got no response.:sad2:

See I was trying to explain it to DH, we Iowa folk know how to have a bad season... so it's not so devistating when it happens. We're just like "oh well.. no good football this year" when's basketball start?
And Nebraskans wonder why the rest of the country makes fun of them!!!! They base their self-worth on whether a group of college guys wins or loses.:sad2: :sad2: Maybe they should base their worth on the volleyball team instead.:confused3

Here in Illinois, there are so many college and pro teams that the spot light isn't totally dominated by any one team. Hence, life hums along ever so merrily in the Land of Lincoln!:goodvibes

I'm with you Melanie. Hoops practice started this weekend so my sports focus has already shifted completely!

Yeah... I've always kinda thought the mentality was a little mixed up... I mean it works great when they're winning but...

DH does watch the volleyball team occasionally!

Yeah, we don't have any pro teams in Iowa so that is usually split between Minnesota, Illilnois and Missouri teams. My dad's former secretary's son plays for the KC chiefs (Dad just retired last month).

Jeff- when I was in college at Iowa I had season tickets for basketball instead of football. (I would have liked football but they were a little harder to come by.)

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room.

She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.
As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a
glass bowl sitting on top of it.

The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom!

When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.

The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

"Miss Beatrice", he said, "I wonder if you would tell me about this?" pointing to the bowl.

"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the Park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.

The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease.

Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter."

We had our Colorado relatives over... we made chili and watched the Rockies game.

Just read about the new dreams being offered in 2008...

Reign at Disney’s Private Island for the Day: One winner will be awarded Disney’s private Bahamian paradise for the day. Castaway Cay, the Disney Cruise Line private island, will allow the winner and up to three guests to lounge in the lap of tropical luxury – all by themselves – with Disney amenities at their fingertips, including gourmet dining, recreation, beachfront cabana massages, entertainment and overnight accommodations on a private yacht.

Ooooo! I want that one! A private yacht off Castaway Cay.

Hey is anyone considering having a cabana massage?

Cheri- Nebraska just fired their athletic director.

Okay we went on a NCL cruise Thanksgiving weekend in 1999...just me & Glen...it was okay...not my favoirte vacation...nothing extra about ship or service...so when I read about all the extra magic Disney puts into cruising it amazes me...

I just read this and thought I'd share...we had no holiday magic on NCL:sad2:

Guests will discover an extra dose of pixie dust aboard Disney Cruise Line this holiday season...the festivities begin on the Disney Magic on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise departing on November 24, the spirit of the season will surround cruise guests from the moment they arrive at Port Canaveral, Fl. Disney characters decked out in their finest holiday attire will welcome guests to the lavishly decorated private cruise terminal. Onboard, the festivities continue with special themed activities, decorations, and even a transformed winter wonderland on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

A nearly three-deck-tall tree festooned with decorations in the atrium lobby, where "snow" flurries fall and a tree-lighting ceremony occurs.

International holiday caroling by crew members from around the globe (exclusively on the Christmas cruises).

Special family time for designing and decorating gingerbread houses.

A reading of "The Night Before Christmas" by Mrs. Claus.

The holiday fun even extends to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. When the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder arrive at the sandy Bahamian isle just after Thanksgiving, the island will be transformed into a Magical Wonderland - a "snowy" holiday hideaway. "Snow" flurries will fall like magic, Christmas trees will glow and carolers will croon. Mr. and Mrs. Snowman, wearing shell noses and tropical attire, will greet guests with a sleigh full of presents. The tram that transports guests across the 1,000-acre island will be reindeer themed, complete with antlers and tail. At the beach, kids can dive into holiday-themed activities that include making candy cane reindeer, paper plate angels and snowflake mobiles.

I'm ready!!! Bring it on! I hope the boys cooperate so we can go to the tree lighting the first night!
