Wow, this hadn't occurred to me. I would have just shipped them off without thinking. So, I assume DCL accepted the duplicate copy because it was stamped?

Yes ther accepted the duplicates no problem. they still have the raised seal which is what they look for.
I was so relieved, I would of been MAD if we would of missed our cruise.

Dawn, we applied for ours last january and got them the end of May. It took 5 months to get them. We were told 8 to 12 weeks when we applied so we didnt pay the extra to get them faster.

Luckily I sent off for duplicate birth certificates the first of May because we had a cruise in May and our passports came after the cruise!!
we would of missed our cruise if I hadnt got the duplicates when I did.

How long ago did you send off for them??

We applied for ours April 3rd so that would be 4 months or 17 weeks. If I get it AND my documents that I sent, I will be happy. I also sent in and got a duplicate of my birth certificate and it came back on a watermark seal paper, no raised seal. So I called DCL and asked and they said that it how alot of the states are sending duplicate birth certificates and that is OK. DCL also told me copy off the on the IRS site the U.S. Passport Application Status and that would be sufficient to show that I had applied for a passport.

Guess I better sign off. I want to watch the new show Power of 10 then Big Brother comes on. America's Got Talent is being taped. Why do they have to have ALL the good shows on at one time. I know that's why they made VCR's!

To everyone who likes to sit on tthe top decks: My DD (dad) and I go on deck and play shuffleboard!! He usually wins but this year im coming back with a vengence!! I love the self serve ice cream!! It used to be when someone would serve it to you--I was so happy when it became self serve!!!!!! Who all is going to go all out on night?!? I know im looking forward to the amazing fireworks!!!

Sarah-my DS-Josh (joelidol) would love the creme brulee. We too love to play shuffleboard--deck 4 right?? Joshua and I were just talking tonight about the self serve ice cream and how we could make root beer floats out of them.....yummo!!

We sent for ours on July 9th...regular way not expedited...still waiting....

I LOVE the photos of Yellowstone. Absolutely gorgeous!! Just last week I purchased a professional grade camera and my dream is to some day take photos as beautiful as those. First, I need to learn how to use the thing!! I purchased it early so I have plenty of practice before the cruise.

Kathy, I was reading messages from a few days back and I saw your note about linking dining reservations. How nice of you to ask! My neighbors are out of town so I don't want to join the group without asking them first. So as of this moment go ahead without us. If there's a maximum number that can link and you already reach it, then that's ok. If there's still an opportunity to do so in a week, great!

Bill - Shirts look great. How is the sizing? True for other t-shirts? Is yours an XL? And do you know anything about the kids shirts with regard to what the sizes correspond to in kids sizes (2-4, 6-8, 10-12 for example?)

Hey Jeff... ty and the xl is just about as it should be if not a tad larger. Its a Hanes 100% cotton if that helps. I'm sure a wash will shrink it to what most would consider normal. As for the kids shirts...

Thanks Bill. Not sure how I missed that link to the size chart. Looks like we'll get a kids one for the little one and an adult small for the older one unless she decides she'd rather have the kids version. She's at the age where she sometimes LIKES being treated like a kid and sometimes not. Can never tell if she is happy for the kids cup at a restaurant or would rather have the adult glass. It seems to change day to day.
