Monday...

We woke up and my youngest was feeling better no incidents. Our stateroom host really scoured our cabin when we left for breakfast. He even removed all of the linens, bedspreads, pillows etc. I felt bad to make him work so hard. His name was Jason and we gave him extra in his tips.

We saw the Island Magic show and thought it was great. It was fun to have my in laws see the boys get so excited to see the characters.

We walked around the ship. I must say we all thought the ship was so beautiful. The rest of our party swam and shopped a bit. We met up at lunch and went to the Asian buffet at Parrot Cay. The food was good.

After lunch, my youngest started feeling poorly . So, we spent the afternoon in our room and had him rest. I reported his progress and they checked on him later that day. Guest services brought him a little Mickey pirate that was so special. He really loved it!

Tuesday- Grand Cayman

My son felt better. No signs of illness and we went ahead on our beach excursion to 7 mile beach. We booked through DCL. A van took us and gave an arbitrary time for pick up. Several of asked what time should we be where he dropped us..."Oh, 2:30 or 3." Well, this was a shorter excursion due to the lateness of it getting started and the strange pick up time quoted. But, all in all in worked out fine. We went off the beach at 2:30 and got the van back. It was a long enough time to enjoy the water, play in the sand and eat lunch. There is a little bar and grill there. It was expensive though. 3 hot dogs cost us $22. Well, they did come with fries.

That evening we didn't go to Lumiere's with the rest of our family. We all took a rest and then went to Topsider's for dinner. It was very good. I had a wonderful steak. My DH had a pasta dish and the boys had mac and cheese.

After dinner, we took the boys to their grandparent's cabin and they watched them while my DH and I saw "Sweet Home Alabama."

Wed. -- Cozumel

We went on a DCL excursion to Chankanaab Park with my DH's parents. Boy, those cab drivers drive sooooo fast! The park is very beautiful and we would have explored it more but, I didn't want to push my little one. We saw the Sea Lion show. Perfect for my age children. They got a kick out of seeing their grandmother have a parrot in her hand. After the show, we looked around a bit and took the earliest shuttle back to the ship. My in-laws also being older and my MIL in the wheelchair we thought it best to call it a day. Again the excursion didn't start on time.

When we got back, my little one had a fever so that was it for the day. He felt better after some Tylenol.

Thurs. -- Thanksgiving

Played bingo. Walked around. Shopped.
We saw Treasure Planet. My DS5 really enjoyed it. My DS2 got squirmy so I took him back to the cabin after about 45 minutes of it.

Semi-formal night. We all ordered the turkey. Bad choice. We thought all the food was good except for that dinner. It was dry. But, you know everyone has their own ideas about what Thanksgiving dinner should be. We saw Disney Dreams altogether and then my family went back to the cabin for bed.

Friday-- Castaway Cay

What a beautiful place!! It was a wonderful day. We went on a bike ride and enjoyed Cookie's BBQ. They did have everyone leave earlier than scheduled. We saw a helicopter leave the ship. We assumed to take someone ill off the boat. They also said they wanted to make sure that the island would be ready for the Wonder.

My DH stayed with my youngest in the cabin while I took my eldest to join the others for our last dinner at Lumiere's. He had fallen asleep and we didn't want to wake him. My BIL and I brought my husband some food and my youngest was now awake. We took the boys to their grandparents cabin and they stayed there while we packed and then had a drink with my husband's brother.

Final Thoughts:

We would go on another Disney Cruise in a heartbeat! We didn't do the things we had planned or wanted to check out. However, when you have children and they get sick you have to be flexible. Next time, maybe we will get to go in the pools. We would like to try Palo's and maybe the boys will enjoy the clubs. DCL has a fabulous crew and they did they best the could with keeping the ship clean.

We fly out 3 weeks from tomorrow. I enjoyed reading your trip report. Thanks for taking the time to share. :D

I read all three parts of your cruise report and enjoyed each one.

Sometimes things don't work out the way we plan but it sounds like you have a really good attitude about it all.

I'm glad the boys didn't both stay ill for the entire cruise.

Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your cruise.
