Well, the worst day of vacation arrived - the day we had to leave. After breakfast, we got all packed up. We realized how much easier it is to pack when we drive down and can just shove everything in the van. This time we flew, so had to cram everything in where we could to get it home and not be over the baggage limit for the airline. What a pain.

After we checked out of the hotel, we headed over to Downtown Disney West Side. We hadn't been over there for a couple of years, plus the Festival of the Masters was going on. We browsed all the artists booths as well as the regular shops. We grabbed lunch at the festival food stand - very good portobello veggie wrap. The candy shop had a giant Rice Krispies treat for the festival. It was about 3 feet long and had a thin layer of white chocolate on top that had an icing painting of Mickey. We didn't get to eat that, but did get a couple caramel apples. Jen got fudge.

A little after noon, we said goodbye to Disney property for the last time of the trip. Got gas in the rental and headed for the airport. Had a snack there (since they don't feed you on planes anymore). We volunteered to be bumped from the flight, but unfortunately they didn't need us. I was really hoping for the 3 free tickets. Maybe next time.

Overall, a very good trip. We did a bunch of things we hadn't done in a long time and also did a few things we had never done. Despite the time savings of flying, my wife and I agreed that we prefer to drive so I'm sure that's what we'll do next time (which won't be too far in the future, I hope). The Days Suites was great and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a suite hotel with plenty of space, excellent service from the staff and unbeatable prices. If you want a fancy lobby with marble and crystal, don't go there. But if you want a clean, quiet and comfortable room, go there.

My vacation is officially over - I put the suitcases back in the garage today. Only took me a week. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we're pulling them out again.
