11-10-02 Wonder Cancelation!!!!

Ok, i didnt know how to start this, but. We are sailing on sunday, with 8, paid in full, very good price in a ov stateroom. My niece 17, decided last night she does not want to go. She may get homesick, any suggestions, so now we have a paid empty spot. I called DCL they said i could replace her with someone by noon tomorrow. NOT ENOUGH TIME. I hate to see the money just poured down the drain.

Oh my, so sorry ~ it's too bad she decided at such a late date. I can't imagine a 17 yo not wanting to go on an exciting cruise.
She would have such fun!! I wish you luck, hopefully you'll be able to come up with someone that would love to join your family. If not, hope you have a wonderful trip anyway! Did you by chance take out travelers ins., maybe you could get some type of reimbursement?

I dont think it would have covered this anyways. This has put a damper on our families. We are driving through waldorf about 5 p.m. be on the side of the road, with a DCL or bust, we'll pick u up. We have plenty of room.

You did answer a question for me however. My adult DD agreed to March cruise date and now informs me a lawsuit she has filed has a good chance of finally going to trial in March - won't know until about 3 or 4 weeks before we sail. I have a dear aunt who is more like a sister to me then an aunt, and she said she'd buy DD's share from me if DD can't go. I was curious about how late you can change name on ressie. If your neice doesn't go, swing up here to Cecil county and I'll take her place...sorry 4nana, but this is a DCL trip we're talking about, it's every man for himself!LOL!
p.s. my 17 y.o. neice wasn't too excited about going with us on DCL trip last May but she had a great time once she met up with someone her own age on the boat.
