11/06/11 Dream 4 Day

I was reading what yall said and that is what I have been seeing too. We are just silvers - this will only be our second - and I really wanted Brunch at Palo. This whole disney addiction didn't begin until the last half of my 30's where I revisited Disneyland a couple times with my husband and son, and then my sister and our sons within 6 months! Then a grand 40th birthday celebration unraveled in my mind for last year - Disney World, Disney Cruise and Harry Potter! I had never cruised before and Disney was the only one I was interested in trying :rotfl: We only did Epcot, Potter then the cruise. Now it's no Potter, all parks and the cruise this year for my 41st. Wonder how long my hubby is going to let me hijack the vacay plans! :rotfl2: :lovestruc

I seem to become more and more obsessed with DIS - especially the more planning I have completed! :rotfl2: It's like I have to get my Disney Dreamin' quota in everyday! Please tell me I am not the only one! I feel like there is some lost tip in a thread that my whole vacation success hinges on. I really need to get a life :rotfl: I sit down to work - I am self employed which is a good thing because if I had an employer - I would probably now be unemployed! :rotfl2: So here is a thread for our meet? Is that ok? If you have one Disney pearl of wisdom for the parks or cruise, what is it?
Have a great day!

My 50th birthday party was in WDW. I had a fixed amount in my head whether I threw myself a party at home or away. I invited friends down to WDW and I said, whoever comes, I'm taking out to dinner. There ware about 12 friends who took me up on the offer and I took everyone out to dinner at Jiko. We had a GREAT time that weekend!

You aren't the only one. Just think I booked the trip over a year ago and I have been planning ever since. I too lurk on the boards looking for every "secret", "tip" and suggestion to make our vacation that much better.

Hi Everyone

Me (Phil) and my Partner (Jay) will be joining you on this cruise.

(I have been lurking for some time on this thread).

We are still debating on joining in on the Fish Extenders, can anyone tell us how many people are so far signed up for the Fish Extenders, and who is currently organizing it?

This will be our first time on a cruise ever, we are big time Disney Fans.
I am an owner in the DVC timeshare at VWL, but my favorite place is BCV.
I had enough points carried over for the DCL trip, which at first I thought was not such a bargain using points, but since the price of the cabin (category 5D) has gone up a thousand dollars on the DCL website, I am thrilled I used the points.

We are staying the week before at the BCV, as well as a couple days later at the BLT.

I have my fingers crossed, hoping to get a Palo Brunch reservation, although I am okay with it if it doesn't realistically happen.

I am hoping to sign up for the excursion to the Aquaventure at the Atlantis, I haven't made up my mind to go for the Comfort Suites idea instead or the official DCL excursion. This is our first visit to Nassau as well, and the only thing we are looking forward to is Atlantis and maybe a quick run through the straw market for any bargains.

Both of us are dieting for the cruise, which seems sad, because I will not diet once I am on board. Jay is a Hard Cider Drinker (UK), also likes Rum and Jack Daniels, and I am into the exotic pool style drinks like Mudslides and anything Polynesian/Island tasting.

I have been busy doing the Cruise Door Magnets, graphics, editing, laminating, attaching magnets; who knew this was so addicting?
Thanks to all the Creative Design board people who have made some amazing graphics.

I am a huge fan of the DIS PODCAST (love Pete's rants), and the DVC DIS threads.

Hope to meet you on the ship, and say hello to some fellow DIS'ers.

Hi All,

Mr. & Mrs. Fish have been lurking on the boards for some time, as we have had to reschedule our cruise 2 times. But we're all set for November 6! We are staying for two days at The Inn at Cocoa Beach pre-cruise. Will anyone else be there?

Welcome! We also own VWL but in our case it's our favorite resort.

Your first DCL cruise how exciting!

Welcome - I am the person organizing the FE - currently we have 19 cabins with a total of 61 people participating. Please send me an email if you are interested in joining our party!

We are doing Atlantis through the Comfort Inn - current rate was $135.00 plus all the fees - youy might want to check it out.

Thank You for the welcome IANKH.

My favorite time to spend at VWL is in December, love the Holiday atmosphere there. I think it is one of the most beautiful DVC designs ever built.

Welcome to the new cruisers...

:yay:WELCOM to the NEWBIES!:yay:

Looks like we're right around 14 weeks. Is anybody else having any success on the weight loss effort? I've been loosing and gaining the same four pounds over and over again. I'm on a no sugar campaign for this week as I've found the the odd treat in the office or the mini Blizzard are sneaking into my daily life again. Each time I'm tempted now, I'll just tell myself I'll wait for a BBC on the ship. Booze and dessert in one. PHIL...put it on your list to try...a Bailey's Banana Colada...oh YES! :thumbsup2

Hmmmmm....my cruise tip for the new kids??? Don't try and do it all...you CAN'T. I've accumulated 80 days on a DCL ship and I still haven't done it all (though I have done plenty of relaxing). This trip will bel ots ofnew stuff for me, just exploring the ship and seeing "Believe". Also this will be my first time traveling with children, so I'm sure I'll spend some time hanging with the 'greats' and doing a bit more of the family activities (though I've done many of those on my own).

Hey Jackie, I'm pretty sure I still owe you a BBC!

I do believe you are correct! And I'm glad we are finally cruising together so I can collect ::yes:: . Perhaps we can share a libation while the great neices are riding the Duck!

I have alerted you all to keep an eye out for Handsome Daniel haven't I??? When you see him on the ship be sure and say hello (he's very friendly and chatty with guests) and be sure to call him "Handsome Daniel"

Unfortunately I was away for business for the month of July so I ended up gaining 8 pounds. Now that I am home it's time to hunker down and loose that weight.
