11/06/05 WHO'S With US on the Wonder?

Jackie, I just added your cabin number to the list. I missed it the first time I read your post. Looks like you are located very close to Gutto in 7121. We are all the way down in the bottom of the ship.

We asked for it on purpose for my 37 year old daughter's sake. Less motion and no portholes. At least they are luxury inside cabins. I love those split bathrooms. My sister is bringing a nightlight to keep in it. Have to be able to find those bathrooms at night. :teeth: We'll need a good alarm clock too since daylight won't wake us up in the morning. :sunny:

Hey everyone-
This is just a request for you all to keep us in your thoughts. My DFIL has to have surgery 2 days before we leave for our trip. I'm worried about him anyway; now I'm worried that we won't make the trip, either. :guilty: He has to have neck surgery (again) to fuse some discs. I was told it was a 6 hour surgery which really has me worried. He's not in the greatest of health anyway. I wish he would have had this done after we get back. I know we won't want to leave if he's not doing well afterwards. Besides that, we didn't get insurance. Jeff told me not to get it, but I was a little skeptical.
I'll let you all know how things are going after the surgery, even though I know some of you will already be in Florida. We sure hope to see you all on the Wonder! :sunny:

Jackie G.

P.S. I'm sorry to hear about Blue Lagoon. We were still thinking about trying to book that one after we get on the ship.

(((Jackie))) I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Sending some prayers he heals quickly. Hope you still make the cruise.

Prayers and good wishes coming your way, Jackie!

Hi All 11/6 cruisers. It is getting closer and closer! Mary and I are actually leaving for Florida next Monday (staying by the airport in Romulus, MI) and spending Tuesday through Sunday at Animal Kingdom Lodge and then going to the Wonder from there. So ... I won't be able to get any of your last minute posts after this Sunday the 30th. We are planning on being at the meet at 3:00 above the Mickey pool on the 6th (if you change it, please call me on my cell 248-321-3702). We will also be going back to the Boardwalk Villas for 2-1/2 days of nibbling around the World at EPCOT; so we won't actually be flying home to MI until Saturday, 11/12 at 7:30 pm. We have the early dining onboard (we are in cabin 6154) and would love to link with anyone else who would like to although I am not sure how to do that since this is my first cruise!!!

Jackie -- hope your FIL's surgery goes OK; we'll be thinking of you!

SEE YOU ALL SOON -- Nanci, Rochester Hills, MI

Nanci, my DH and I have the early seating, too, and would like to link with you and your friend if you would like that too. I think our room is not too far from yours either--we're in 6086. This will be our first cruise, too, so I'm not sure how to do the linking, but maybe someone else could steer us in the right direction? We don't leave until the 4th. We're taking the Autotrain down and spending one night at Cocoa Beach. No Disney World for us this time, but we had a blast with our neice and her friend at the Food and Wine festival year before last. We're taking several days to drive back to VA along the coast.

Jackie G.--We pray all goes well with your DFIL's surgery and you get to take this trip. That must be a huge worry! We sure hope to see you on board! :flower:

Just got off the phone with my travel agent....to LINK dining you need the confirmation number of both parties (don't even need the name :confused3 ). So you guys should PM each other with that info....don't post it on the internet. Be sure you say you are linking DINING only (not rooms). If one of you booked through a travel agent, they can handle it for you.

Now, I'm off to PM Gutto to get ours handled!

I'm so jealous of those of you who are going early. See you at 3PM on Sunday on deck 10. I'll probably be wearing a gold T-shirt with "Celebrating a WONDER~ful Birthday on it......unless I ruin it when I try to make it this weekend....in that case, I'll be in LIME GREEN. I'll probably head back to the deck 10 after the lifeboat drill to watch the sail-away party at the Goofy pool.

STILL looking to see if anyone is interested in Palo brunch ::yes::

Thanks for the information Jackie/Ibouncetoo! Good luck with linking your dining reservations. We'll have to search through our clothes to find something lime green for the meeting! :sunny:

My sister and I, and probably my daughter, will be easy to spot. We'll have on white V-Neck shirts with a big colorful decal on the front of the Disney Wonder and some Disney characters. I also put a decal sign on them with the dates of our cruise, Nov. 6-10. I'll be the one with a lime green bow pinned to my right shoulder (the shirt, not my actual shoulder :teeth: ).

Gail

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'm just sure he'll make it through the surgery okay; it's just a long one, so we worry even more. But we don't want him to wait to have it after we get back either. He has been in so much pain, and this is supposed to help a lot (hopefully).

Anyway, it's getting really cold here in St. Louis. We had our first official frost overnight. It really puts me in the mood for a tropical getaway!!!! ;)
I'm going to have to find something for us to wear to the meet. I know I don't have anything lime green. Maybe Millie might have something. The only thing I can tell you is that Millie has shoulder length, light brown hair and is a thin six year old. (She's the only one that's really thin in our family  :rotfl: My husband, Jeff, has a gotee, but alot of men have those these days, so that's not a very good giveaway. We'll definitely be looking for all of you, though! 10 days and counting 'till the sail away party!!!!!
See ya then, :wave2:
Jackie G.

Jackie, all you have to do is just recognize just one of us. :) I'm pretty sure our group will be an obvious one once we start linking up. :grouphug:

Jackie G My thoughts and prayers are with your FIL.
We will be an easy crew to spot .My DD has a hot pink wheelchair and her Daddy made her an icon Mickey shaped tray for it. We will also be wearing matching tee shirts(If I ever finish making them).I can't beleave it is almost here

Michelle, how is your daughter doing with her ear/sinus problems? Is everything looking good for the trip?

I can't wait to meet everyone. I just had my personal Disney Design Addict 'tweek' my T-shirt design, which I will also use as a door sign. Now I hope my transfer paper ordered from E-Bay gets here in time (if not I'll just use a different brand).

Jackie
Thanks for asking about my DD ear/sinus infect. She is still sick I will talk to the Dr again tomarrow. It has been a long few weeks. I feel so bad for her. Everytime she sneezes she starts to cry. :sad2: I have kept her home from school and I am falling really behind in getting ready. I know that even if she gets better I will keep her home from school untill after the trip(wouldn't want her to pick-up something else)

Tell her to get better quickly. A lot of people want to see that hot pink wheel chair and the little angel in it. :lovestruc

Here's the design for my T-Shirt!

WonderBirthday2leaves2.jpg

I'll be putting it on a gold shirt......unless I wreck it, then it will go on a green shirt. My door sign is similar....my name is smaller and has the cruise dates under it.

WOW!!! Jackie, very nice! Which day is your birthday? My granddaughter turns 4 on the first day and my daughter-in-law's birthday is on the at sea day. Party time. :cheer2:

I'm passing on a question from my daughter-in-law. She's bringing along some nice activities and school projects for the children to work on. They require scissors, the blunted ones. She wants to know if they are ok to bring on the ship?
